Tamiya RC CAR RACE preparation

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Join Mark and Carl as they fix up their cars ready for indoor racing at Leighton Buzzard Model Car Club.
They were both too fast last week so in order to keep racing as fair as possible they have opted to change back to the the stock Tamiya Torque Tuned Motor. This is a 25 turn brushed motor which is perfectly suited to the Tamiya TT01e when raced indoors.

add cap pack to the 1060, its like adding NOS. I've had my torque tuned + 1060 for more than 7 years now, reliable.

Damn….you two spying on me or something!! This is literally me right now getting ready for my first go at an Iconic round hahahaha….my TP came in the post today, but mines going in my M03 mini. Great video gents….glad this popped up before I started cutting and soldering….ps well said about the plastic ‘sheath’ melting….had one melt on my TT01 that I race….only after taking everything out did I spot the black marks! Keep up the wicked vids…and good luck for Iconic ✊👏👏👏

Nice video guys, just a note the Hobbywing 1060 is now available with a deans/t-plug connector on as standard, Tamiya plugs belong in a time capsule.

TBLE-02s is indeed a bit shit I ran it with a 21T Superstock rz, and on hot days it's a feat if you can keep it running at racing speeds

Due to the shortage of the latest Tamiya ESC's, new kits now come with a Carson ESC here in the UK and a Hobbywing 1060 in the US. The Carson seems to be a Hobbywing 1060 or a copy of it and comes with a deans/t-plug connector as standard with a Tamiya adapter included 😀

We have run water dipped motors in the past.. does not make a massive difference but does shorten life of the brushes

Your soldering iron would be considerably more efficient were you to keep its tip clean and tinned. 😉
