Great test. You should inform, that the TBLE-02s will not take the 3S for long.

Good test! Think I'll try some of the same. Amazing how big difference the 3S gave. Hope the TBLE-02S didn't get too warm? And what on road tires are those? Good vid. Subbed to your channel. Looking forward seeing more Tamiya.

great video! Thank you very much for the contribution, I have never had a tamiya, I currently have a kyosho axxe 2wd (when I bought it it was already rtr) I have never assembled a chassis from 0 what are the advantages and disadvantages from 0? I am thinking about the DT 03 neofighter, what are the pros and cons of this buggy? Can you fit another servo and variator from other brands? What speeds can we achieve with brushed and a 2s lipo? How about the quality of the spreads and arrows?

Hi, Last year I built a Tamiya Racing Fighter from kit (DT-03 chassis). Dropped in a 3300kv brushless motor + 45A ESC and it's quick on 2s Lipo battery (around 50km/h top speed) with 19T pinion, and too fast on 3s. In fact when I use a 3s Lipo, I limit the throttle end point @ 75% from the transmitter digital setting, and even like this, you will need a big wide open space to be able to use the full throttle for more than a couple of seconds. If you buy this kit, make sure to get the one with oil shocks and ball bearings. The buggy is very smooth running if assembled properly and it gives me around 30 minutes of running time with a 2200mAH Lipo battery, but not driving at full throttle all the time, that's silly. Proper throttle management is essential for smooth enjoyable running. I changed the stock wheels/tires with a set of all-terrain rubber tires. This buggy is great fun and a strong reliable runner at a decent price. It handles beautifully and you won't regret getting it. There is the RTR brushless version as well if you're not into assembling kits. Cheers!

Very slow, also the tamiya electronics are made only for kids, and are not made for running. Tamiya reminds me my childhood with these cheap crap rc cars with full throttle and full steering, means on-off technology. The tamiya speed controllers, motors, batteries and transmitters are a crime in the rc industry. I have a tamiya M04L and i am not sure if finally it's worth to upgrade to brushless and lipo. They are beautiful models it's so true , but they are made for kid driving. If you are a grown up and running with speeds like these in the video, it's shame on everyone. I try to forget that the tamiya rc models exist on the earth, but i can't forget them only because they are nice looking models.

panayiotis konstantos yet Tamiya makes some of the best racing kits around. TRF on-road cars are a work of art. Btw this video is just to demonstrate the capabilities of the stock setup. This dt03 is a beginner kit but it isn’t a low quality rc. I have many high end kits and the dt03 doesn’t have a toy grade feel to it like older Tamiya kits.

Basicly my problem with the tamiya , is i can't find metallic gears. Some models have metallic gears as i rememer. But for example the M 0 models have plastic gears, or else I would have upgraded it.

panayiotis konstantos this dt03 does have fiber filled nylon gears....but they’re very wide and in mod .8/32 pitch...they will handle a good amount of power. The diff does use metal gears. This is a basic $125 kit that is perfect for beginners or even people that want a simple buggy.
