But you know censorboard criticized the movie, on woman wife character who immediately signs divorce paper on first day after marriage. and it was alloted U/A certificate after discussions. else it will be only for 'Adults' movie🙂

When life in 80s was moving slow..... Karthik came like a Tsunami and changed everything. Hats off to mani sir for an amazing movie with Karthik, Revathi and Mohan. Ilayaraja sir is a genius🙏

All this secene of kartik and revati were taken from his own kannada movie pallavi anu pallavi. Anil kapoor also did his best but he was decent while kartiks role was mawali or awara type, I think kannada audience were really good they didn't like such stupidity. The movie belongs to Mohan and not kartik and revati. He could have done kartiks role but I don't think kartik could have manage mohans role. Why mani sir haven't selected kartik for anjali, even after mohan rejected the role. After all what matters is the good taste.

It was the excellent screenplay and right characterization fitted into BGM , lift the entire film altogether , what would have been with the same BGM with ordinary screenplay with wrong characterization , it wouldn't have lifted the film altogether , cinema is a collective effort whereby every department works as a cohesive team to lift the entire work , one should not separate other good works done by directors on sharp screenplay and perfect acting by characters.

Karthik is like Kamal in spontaneous acting. Every scene was told musically. Who can compose music like this "spontaneously" after watching the scene once, no one but Ilayaraja. Greatly used by Manirathnam and advanced for that time.

Both Revathi and Karthik excellent action scenes. 80's movie watchers never forget this scene

im fanatic of this movie especially karthick scenes n that love n that love theme of ilayaraja

The film industry still survives now because of those films created by best directors years ago.
