A Tamil Hindu Wedding
The traditional of Hindu weddings are based on sacred scriptures, Veda, which date back at least 4000 years. By the wedding union, the couple prepares to fulfil their physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social goals of righteousness, acquisition of wealth, fulfilment of desires and the salvation of the soul.
The rituals of the Hindu marriage ceremony highlight the interdependence and the complementary nature of husband and wife relationship.
Ardhanareeswara- the half male and female representation of the almighty Shiva and his consort Shakthi - emphasises the ideal husband and wife relationship in Hinduism.
The marriage, known as kalyanam, is performed on an auspiciously decorated wedding platform, called the manavarai with the participants around the kalasam- a brass or silver pot (human body)- filled with holy water, topped with coconut (head), surrounded by five mango leaves (senses) and placed on a plantain leaf coved with raw rice or paddy. This poorana kumbam signifies self realization- the control of the body mind and the senses.
Venerated as Shiva and Shakthi, the bride and groom sit elevated in a space while the priest sanctifies for divine solemnisation.

Some of these guys commenting like why is she with a white guy... it's not like Tamil/Indian girls go out of their way to find a white husband. When they are raised in a western society, they are surrounded by men of all races. So, you fall in love when you meet the right guy, no matter what the ethnic background might be. People aren't so calculative when it comes to love. And, even then, most South Asian girls do get married to South Asian men. If this is bothering you, you are suffering from inferiority complex. One day, you might fall in love with a non-Tamil girl. Or your kids might end up marrying a non-Tamil. So don't be too quick to judge.

Le problème dans ce monde, c'est que l'enfants reprochera à un des parents au moment où il aura choisi son camp. De nombreux enfants dans de pareil cas souffrent de ne pas appartenir pleinement à un groupe et reprocheront aux parents de n'avoir pas penser à eux. Je connais de nombreux cas ou les enfants ont des paroles violentes envers leurs parents parce qu'eux souffrent à cause d'eux. Je ne suis contre de ce que j'ai vu dans cette vidéo, mais je voulais seulement dire qu'il ne faut pas voir que toute est bien, il y a aussi des inconvénients dans ce genre de relation, il ne faut pas l'ignorer.
Not everyone experience racism from white people, Chinese people, blacks, Filipinos, Pakistanis or Middle Easterners etc. I am a Sri lankan Christian tamil and Ive been through horrible racism experience in Canada. Enough to make my life a tragedy. If you look white or your related to white people don't treat you cruel. If not all those communities will attack you and make your life miserable. Racism differs for each individual and family. My life is ruined because of some white people poison people's thoughts with gossips.
