The point is 50% of the entire 12 std pass can get college admission. We have so many colleges to accommodate the students where as in UP and most popular state Gujarat is less then 20%. Government can only provide facility and its upto the individual to get knowledge.

During Karunanidhi period a number of small dams were constructed. காமராஜர் gave free education upto college level. MGR opened a number of engineering colleges but made college education costly. MGR and JJ did something for the economic development. But the major contributions were made by Kamarajar and கலைஞர். The infrastructure like roads and ports were strengthened during கலைஞர் last period.

ஆமாம், MGR ஆண்ட காலம் தமிழ் நாட்டின் இருண்ட காலம் என்று அணைத்து பொருளாதார ஆய்வாளர்களும் தெளிவாக கூறி இருக்கிறார்கள். அதை பற்றி India Today பத்திரிகையில் கூட பெரிய அளவில் எழுதி இருந்தார்கள்.
