Love the pianos high in the mix. This version is so much fun. I'm always curious about whether re-recording an album with a live band would add to a single musicians recordings they made alone.

I like this version of the song, but I don't like the song. I think the weakest part of Kevin's game is his lyrics and he puts them up front often on the album. I'm a long time fan, but could only get on board with maybe half the songs on The Slow Rush. Here, I can't relate to the speaker of the song. If we're meant to take it as a song from Kevin's point of view it comes off as a sob story - you feel bad sometimes, ok, but you are wildly successful. A lot of people feel bad and aren't incredibly successful. If it's meant to be a song sung by anyone, then it's too vague to really be a good lyric. 'I feel bad but I'm doing the right things'. Can we get some more substance please? Just sayin.

@@maximthefox What I said was more nuanced then that. Just don't reply if you don't like long comments. There are better songs and better Tame songs, that's all.

@@JWSaunders14 you said "it comes across as a sob story - you feel bad sometimes, ok, but you are wildly successful. A lot of people feel bad and aren't incredibly successful." Why can't very successful people write a sob song? What you said wasn't nuanced in the slightest.

For those of us who will read ... I think it's important to be critical of our favorite art and artists. I used to be a die-hard fanboy of many bands and would defend the entire discography of a band. My taste suffered for it. You can disagree of course, but don't disagree because you want your favorite artists to be beyond criticism.
