The bottom technique includes an extra movement to get your finger out of the way by angling it while the pointy hook comes to grab the sequin. I can totally see a beginner get lots of pricks before mastering this dodging act.

Hi, iv'e been looking at your videos and they are so easy to understand that i now want to try. I know that for our benefit you are doing it slow but can you tell me if this is easier or harder than embroidering with a normal embroidery and bead needle. Thanks. Shirley from the UK.

Hi Shirley! Im from the UK London too. Thank you so much!🥰 im glad my videos are clear and easy to understand. Learning Tambour initially is much harder than learning beading with a needle. But once you have learnt the technique its much quicker and easier to use for embroidery than a regular needle.

What are the benefits of doing it on the bottom? It looks harder and like I’d poke my finger lol. Your videos are great!

Thanks!☺️ It’s faster since you don’t have to constantly load up your hook with sequins/beads. So it’s good for large projects with continuous lines of sequins/beads. But I mostly use the top technique, its more comfortable and you can be more creative because you can change you sequin colour or size whenever

We can only use tule or organza to embroid right

  • @OlsjonaEmbroidery

No, you can use any fabric you desire!! Organza and tulle are just great beginner friendly fabrics. I would just stay away from stretchy fabrics they are hard to work with.
