Any idea if there will be a current gen console version? Would probably really help out sales of the game, especially with how few games there are on PS5 and Series X right now.

Jet Force Gemini on N64 at 1:25 anyone? The ant enemies look and move, check 1:43, exactly like them.

As soon as I seen the ants I thought jet force gemini. JFG had a much better main character. A remake of JFG is what they should have done instead of this. Rare ware made really great games back in the day.

@Gzus Kreist If Microsoft owns the Jet Force IP, this should have been a proper spiritual sequel to it. As in a 3rd person shooter in the same vain as Jet Force, with more modern controls (from what I've heard about this the controls are super dated) and graphics. And if they were going for that, why go a completely different direction with the design of player character but literally reuse the same blue ants from Jet Force? Why did they do this? A game that feels like a modern Jet Force Gemini would be amazing. Rather than this which seems to be trying to be a 3d plat-former and 3rd person shooter, while not really doing either that well. The reason Jet Force Gemini focused a lot more on being a 3rd person shooter was coz they decided it just did'nt work trying to do both.

The game from a technical standpoint is pretty good even if it's a little obvious they used Unreal 4 but the art direction feels off. The environments look a bit too realistic for the cartoon characters. Especially at 1:03, 2:58, and 5:18. Almost feels like those those Mario in Unreal 4 videos though it is not that bad haha. I also really liked the soundtrack from what I have heard. I can't talk about the gameplay since I haven't played it yet as I feel $40 is a bit too much from what I have seen. But you did a good job on this review as you kept to be clear and straightforward and edited it well to fit with what you're talking about.

4:47 I experienced the same glitch sadly :/. I was right at the 2nd last area and needed a break to look at a walkthrough. Came back and the save data was gone.

Yeah it really is a beautiful title especially if you have the hardware to max it out!

I may have some issues with the camera movement. But anyway I enjoyed listening on your reviews. Great coverage and comments.

No I wouldn't say that. A little empty at times but definitley nowhere near a tech demo.

Loving the nods to JET FORCE GEMINI. David Wise's involvement has changed my mind! I'll pick this up when it's a bit cheaper.

Have been looking out for this game awhile now. May get on console. Seems the game is probably worth $25-$30 so may wait for a sale and may get on the PS5

Some of the platforming is fairly challenging. This one won't frustrate you or anything like that. I found it to be a comfortable challenge.

Bro, you forgot to mention that the insects are exactly the same as the insects from a game that came out 21 years ago called jet force Gemini, anyone remember that game, it is so underrated

Yeah it's not the games strongest aspect but it did surprise me. Something different and unexpected at the least!

It was voted the top #7 worst games of 2020 on Metacritic, so - no thanks...!

The game isnt good, judging by the fact it was created by an experienced studio in the span of 6 years. The product that we get is rarther laughable. It contains little to no story, pretty boring gameplay and shooting is very difficult, not even mentioning the glitchy world. Yes, the graphics are pretty, but it only has a few playable areas. The game is overall just a frustrating waste of time, the moral of the story is average and weak, and there are many more games that can present it in a better way, especially ones that dont cost 30 bucks just to play. The price to quality ratio is way offset. So no, its not worth your time.
