Carlos is beautiful, he literally takes flight, and Tamara was wonderful. Bravo,you gorgeous, talented dancers, thank you for such beauty and passion.

(guest) hadn't seen Carlos before this year, (shame on me , but have been very busy, practicalities / fatigue, overwork!), but glad to find videos here. I did read that he was having to stop because of " constant pain"...ballet takes a lot from a body......tendons? ligaments? He does " float" beautifully , with the same manly grace of Nureyev. Many thanks for making videos available.☺.
I can never watch Tamara Rojo enough when she does fouettés :) and that hint of a smile as she finishes and runs off.... LOVE! IT!

It's not your imagination, the air conditioning was not working and this came after her Don Q. Two very strong pieces in one night. Not to mention she had danced the night before and was to perform Manon on Friday.

any of you critics heard of the opening night party and reception? Do you think the artists stayed up a little too long-one glass of wine too much? I think they did a magnificent pas de deux. so shut thine evil lips!!!

It seems that from 2008/9 on he was in very bad shape for several years, it's obvious in many recordings... Seen this with other South American male dancers, too - as soon as they hit their mid-30s they put on weight and get heavy. Why they insist doing classical bravura roles wearing next to nothing is beyond me...

I hope ballet is developing in a more diverse body types, so many more people enjoy.

he's heavy and out of shape though he wasn't that old at the time :( i've seen better performances from others and also from him in this role

dear friend l can't undrestand why you so furious a dancer is a man and an athlete and is not possible to be all year in full shape,and l like acosta very much,but if you are not blind is clear that in this film carlos is little heavy and less muscolar than usual,but also think that few weeks of rest and diet are necessary,because that kind of water ritention is often due an over workaout,and in fact sometime l saw many dancer ,among them once vladimir vasiliev,out of their ideal shape.
Oh dear, at this point, Acosta has turned into a “gordito”, and his costume is doing him no favours.
Lousy performance by Acosta.
may happen because also him is human ,but he is very bad shape in this period ,very fat.
