FEATURING: TAMAGUSUKU RYU SENJU KAI FRANCES NAKACHI RYUBU DOJO
Tamagusuku Ryu Senju Kai Frances Nakachi Ryubu Dojo, also known as Senju Kai Hawaii, was established in 1997 under the direction of Frances Nakachi Kuba Sensei. Frances Nakachi Kuba Sensei learned Okinawan dance under the acclaimed dance masters Yoshiko Tanita Sensei and Mieko Kinjo Sensei in Okinawa, both of whom are certified as National Intangible Cultural Assets by the Japanese government. Frances Nakachi Kuba and the academy take pride in perpetuating the Okinawan culture in Hawaii and internationally. Their mission is to spread peace, joy, and love by sharing the beauty of Okinawa's Dance Arts to the world, one dance at a time.

The Hawaii United Okinawa Association (HUOA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote, perpetuate, and preserve the Okinawan culture here in Hawaii. It is a huge part of the Hawaii Okinawan community and allows its members to learn about the culture through various educators and practitioners, a central meeting place to share experiences, and a way to connect with the Okinawan government, organizations, and its people. Running an active organization and a meeting place like the Hawaii United Okinawa Center comes with a significant expense. None of it is possible without the generous donations from our members and supporters.
