Nick Phillips if tamagotchi were made 50 years ago, they would’ve been made in 1970. That was way before technology was made.

I have a Tamagotchi connect gen 3 somewhere 😂, haven't used it in ages, but I loves it as a kid, me and my brother both had one and we used to connect them all the time. For relatively simple looking technology they were really reliable! I had the union jack one that I'm guessing was probably only released in the UK, it was great though, I may have to find it

I love the new re releases (Gen 1 and 2) So many different and new beautiful shells.. It's amazing how much joy such a simple gadget/toy can bring.

This is SO CUUUUTE! Your little cute blurbs like 'Santa! Santa!' are SO adorable!

It's cool that humans can feel an attachment to such simple things. Maybe its a good sign we'll treat AI well. I get attached to them to, I have some pet amoebas on my phone that I constantly check up on. (btw great santa voice-over)

It's a little disappointing to find out the anniversary one is just a re-release of the Mini, because I already have 2 minis from when they came out years ago. But it's still cool to see them come back. I have over 30 myself, many Japan-only, so it's cool to see another collector who was as passionate (and nerdy) about them as myself ;)~

I'm a little late, but the tamagotchi on released in the us a while back. It's super cool

I wish they came back with the connection and then rather than the stupid app that they have, to have a pokemon go type app which you then load onto the computer and then onto your handheld tamagotchi. That would truly start the craze again!

Love your channel. I believe nobody loves Tamas more than you and myself. They were my best friends all my life. You taught me about the forest tamas and I adore it! I have three re-released tamas and two Tamagotchi On as well as Gudetama. They’re all amazing and I am so glad there’s a fan base for them.

Your wish has been granted! 20th anniversary Digimon V-Pets are being released in english (probably excluding the title of '20th' since that anniversary passed already)

Wow I remember my niece being big time into these and yes they are adorable.But then when you have real pets or people the novelty wears off pretty quick hahaha.Thanks for bringing me down memory lane with my niece.She lives pretty far from me but definitely miss her.Thanks Erica I'm sure if she sees this she has her own collection.Deb.✌️👍👌

I got mine at target on sale for $7.50, best toy ever as a kid. Once mine hatched it’s egg it was very needy. I had to play with it, feed it and keep it happy.

Got nostalgic when you mentioned 'digimon' as I used to have so many! Went to ebay and people are selling them for quite princely sums! If only I kept all mine...

Tamagotchis weren’t as popular as Giga Pets or Nano Pets/Babies in Vegas where I am originally from. Nano Babies were the most popular, followed by Giga Pets, and then finally Tamagotchis. My niece has one of the IR ones somewhere unless it was tossed.

I have to admit, as soon as i started mine up, i did feel like i had played this exact version before... but then i knew the nano wasnt quite exact. took me a few minutes and finally remembered about the mini, and sure enough, there it is!! So ive got both years release now... I was hoping that maybe they somehow had made the full aspect of the game into that tiny shell... or at least incorporated a pause feature... that would have been nice. But! I did get one for my nieces for christmas!! If they like these, i might see into getting them the full version (p1) maybe for their birthdays.

I used to have the old one when I was little and l am so happy to see a new one !!

Amazing collection!

My boyfriend got one for me Christmas Eve! At first I was a bit disappointed by the simplicity of it, as I had Tamagotchi Connection when I was a kid, but like you said, I don't have a lot of time to keep a normal Tamagotchi alive! I can just check on it every few hours or so to feed it or clean it's poop. Which is nice for when I'm at work haha! Mine will be 2 days old tonight and his name is Barbosa, he's the goofy faced one with the long legs!

Since it's my birthday today this made me feel hella old since I had this my junior year in high school. I loved these things but they were eventually banned from my school (it caused a "distraction"). Left it with my mom and she never, ever paid attention to it. Always came home to a dead pet smh... 😊😊😊

It is January 31 and I work at a Wal-Mart and I found a whole sidekick that was never put out. It even says do not stock tell 11/5/2017 on the box. I bought one of course.

I found mine at think geek, I got the all white one; haven’t opened it yet, I also haven’t decided where I want it, on my key chain? lanyard? or change it out with my dog tag/ball and chain necklace? It’s small enough to go on my carbine for my backpack too, lots of options.

I’m a 22 male and I bought one! Omg and I love it so much! It brings back memories of my youth

I got one yesterday by chance when picking up my sons birthday presents. I didn't know at the time that they didn't have the full experience, which was a tad disappointing. But I've just ordered some new batteries to boot up an old Tamagotchi I found in a drawer at home so I at least will have that to play. The cost £9.99 here in the UK, which is super cheep!

I was not expecting such an overly simplified version at all. (The small size didn't make me assume there would be small tasks to it.) I do see it (The 2018 mini) as more of an accessory than a classic tomagotchi or a neko atsume game.

I used to have a handful of V3 thru v4.5. Damn those were so much fun. I also got V5 and Go but I couldn't get into them for some reason. Really wish I could still find my old ones. I don't know what happened to em. Really hope I'll be able to get ahold of one of these 20th aniv ones.

I appreciate the original complex ones more. I like trying to figure out what it needs. And my life is never so busy that I couldn't spare a few minutes in a day for one of these. Especially MGA programmed ones are super easy to care for, literally don't have to use but five or less minutes spread over a day on it to be just fine. Now, some of the Giga Pets on the other hand are insanely demanding and those ones I don't even try to run unless it's the holidays.

I love this new version! I just find it very simple and to be honest I did not really like the menu that much... I also like how its like the mini and small! #Fav (this is just my opinion)

I remember when I used to sneak my tamagotchi into class in 6th grade. It's still working now and I'm probably bringing it to university.

I never had one but I've certainly seen them. I'm surprised they don't go all out for the anniversary, Super Amoled screen etc. haha

I managed to get one yesterday, I almost forgot about the menu from the original. My first Tamagotchi had a jungle camo shell, and I was gifted with it on a vacation. Sadly I lost it on the plane ride home.
