I gotta say, almost every time I see a video of a massive drum kit, it's 9 times out of 10 gonna be someone with a lot of disposable income, and little skill. It's so damn nice to see someone collect this kit and actually be able to play it to it's fullest capacity. That was really awesome!

As much as I love Tama Starclassic maples, the Artstar and Granstar are Tama's high water mark. And this kit is utterly mind blowingly cool. Thanks for sharing!!

I have several 10 piece vintage TAMA kits and I love white in that kit. A real drum kit l know you have infinite patterns on a 5 piece but so much more color to work with. Awesome kit.

Play some tom fills without useing kick drums everyone is using it and it's becoming boring just trying to help.

Back in the day, our band bought a cb700 full kit, with roto toms, cowbell tree, extra cymbals, chimes, even a gong! Damn, 40 years ago, and you made my day, bro! Hope you have a wonderful beat on that setup 😎🎶✌️

An 11 inch diameter tom! THAT'S NUTS! I've read that Tama made those but I've never seen or heard one. I think Simon Phillips used an 11 inch tom at one time or another in the past.

I had a full set of Platinum cymbals with a granstar 2 set. I miss them!

I think it needs a few more toms, but that is a tank of a drum kit!

My first professional level drum set was a Tama Artstar II. Great drums... just soooo heavy.

This entire kit sounds phenomenal!!! 😊

I got 6-8-10-12-13-14-15-16 6 and 15 are Yamaha Concert toms 8 is Sonor force 2001 the rest is origin sonor force 2000 from 1995 Sounds absolutely insane. If you put the same heads on everything, the sound differences between the Yamaha and the Sonor are minimal. Still waiting now for the Tama imperialstar 18" Floor Tom. I chose this to complete my 9 Tom setup because it's made of poplar, same as all force 2000 shells. Even though all the stuff is "cheap" - if you know how to tune these babies properly - they still sound gorgeous! Up the irons

I use 6 and 8s all the time but I tune them higher so there ia a bigger tone interval between all toms. You could go way higher to get the most definition between tom sounds. That's for the next video!! Great kit there.

back in the late 80's I had a huge kit like that to play rock clubs with. Mine was a Lugwig Rocker Pro. Today's kits are too small..more is better. Look at Mike Portnoy's kits!

Awesome drum set ! I recommend you add a versatile 14w-14d floor tom I have a 15 piece artstar es set. I found a hanging 16w-15d tom. Playing the set as a 7 piece with large sizes has always been fun.

incredible! wow! that's a unique tuning range on the 6&8. Not sure the true sound was captured in the video, I guess I'd expect the 6&8 to come through 'higher'? Doesn't matter, just something I noticed! That is one beauty of a kit! 🥁

My guess is the tuning follows the style of music he plays. Also given the number of toms, the differences in tones between each tom are a lot closer than you would use for say a kit with 5 or 6 toms.

These sound fantastic. Wonder if Home Depot would let me set up and jam one day...

Recorded on my iphone. Heads are emperors on the batter and the original tama clear heads on the reso (except the 6” which has ambassador reso).
