A few years ago friends of an office worker brought small pots of “hand cream” but to sell. They made it in their home, and I was so I,pressed with it, bought several pots. When we were discussing the product I asked what it was made from and they laughed and said it’s a secret ingredient. Now I suspect tallow was the base.

I just wanna say thank you so much. I make and use your tallow balm recipe and my skin condition improves so much. No more allergies.

Hi there🤗 You took the thought right out of my head. I make lotion and tallow balm too. I had the thought to make tallow lotion a couple years back, but when I googled it, I found nothing at the time. I'm glad you went for it, and was successful at it.😊 Now I will so the same. Besides the Bath & Body works body cream only last a few days with my skin during this winter.

I've made lotion only 1 time and I've been binging your videos and it's so fun to see you with so much experience with doing a "trace" type method also get slightly worried about the consistency 🤣 I felt like my lotion was taking FOREVER to thicken! Good to know that making tallow products seems to have a faster trace emulsify time. I'm so excited to make stuff after watching your videos!

So, I tried this recipe & my whisking wasn’t getting the job done. Since this was a tester batch just for me, I decided to pop it in my bullet to give the mixing some power. OMG it only took 2 seconds to be absolutely freakin’ amazing. It’s possible it may have thickened it to a cream, not sure if I’ll be able to pump it yet. RAVE review from me

Hi Marisa, can rose water be used instead of the water?If yes, do I still need a preservative? I plan on making very small batches. Also, I only have leucidal complete, so not sure if it will work (though it did work on other lotions). Thank you.

Hi, Marissa! Thank you for sharing this cool recipe. I was wondering if it's possible to use magnesium brine as an alternative for the distilled water? Is it also possible to use rosemary essential oil as a preservative alternative? I don't have access to the phenonip you have mentioned in your recipe. I have watched your magnesium lotion recipe but I might be doing something wrong because the beeswax doesn't seem to emulsify the ingredients all the way through. I want to try if I can just use stearic acid and the emulsifying wax for the magnesium lotion. Thank you so much! :)

You are a closet chemist. I just found your channel. We raise grass fed/finished bison. I'm wondering how this would translate to bison tallow. I may just find out.

Hi! I have a few questions for the lotion...1. Comparing the lotion to a tallow balm or whipped tallow balm, is the lotion lighter and less greasy because of the emulsifying wax, preservative, & distilled water? Or is it that those added ingredients are the purpose of the "creamy, pump method lotion" texture? 2. Can I use something like jojoba oil instead of the carrot seed oil? Thank you for all of your videos, I am learning a bunch here!

I used wagyu beef tallow and olive oil and some essential oils and its so thin any idea why

Can I simply add tallow to my "Everyday Coconut" lotion from Sprouts? I will soon run out of this particular bottle.

So I made this last year successfully with tallow I rendered from a local farm. This year the farm was out of tallow so I ordered “kettle rendered” from azure standard. It’s the ONLY difference and the lotion is not working now. I quadrupled the recipe to make Christmas presents....and it’s separated from the water and is chunky. Will making a larger batch mess with the proportions? Or could it be the tallow? I feel like it’s the tallow...really upset about this and don’t feel like wasting more ingredients. Could it be that it’s “kettle rendered”? I rendered it again in my instant pot and there was no difference in end product. Help!!!

Steric acid is an emulsifier, how come you need the wax?

Do you think it could work for massage? I'm a massage therapist.

Yes you can!

So I never had to use emulsifying wax in my tallow liquid lotion. It has held up for 2 weeks so far. Crossing fingers it sticks!

What kind of scale do you use? That’s such a tiny amt? Really like to make this but I guess I just don’t understand your measurements
