They may not be the wealthiest in the country but just look at those resource persons being invited not only by the local media, but the international ones like CNN in terms of economy in the Philippines - always Ayala. I believe they are the most honest businessmen in the Philippines.. #justsaying

    For a Spanish decent family, the Ayalas stuck it out in the Philippines come bad times and the good. I guess all the wealth they had generated came from hard work. Think about what's happening in Spain now and you will understand the foresight of the Ayalas.

    Once again the Philippines is behind. Great news that the economy is working out for the better, and that investors are coming in, but in the case of the rest of Asia, it's 20 years too late! The Phils should already have built their economy up and should be doing what all its neighbours are currently doing: defending its interests through Militarisation! If the Philippines doesn't catch up in double time, I fear the country will be picked off by stronger and increasingly aggressive neighbours.
