Man...one of the worst days ever. Clicked on this video within an hour of its release. Watched it about 20x. Got online to order tickets for Linkin Park with MGK in Charlotte, NC that summer for what would've been my first LP concert. Then my old friend messaged me and told me Chester had passed away. Nothing was ever the same after that. Chester was my biggest inspiration for wanting to be a singer. A lot of my passion for music died that day with him. I don't use this phrase lightly when I say Linkin Park saved my life. Depression sucks, man. I fight it every day. And I know he fought it as long as he could. He helped so many of us without a voice, who were too young to really understand or express those feelings that made his lyrics so universal, and made LP arguably the biggest rock band of the 21st century. RIP Chester Bennington

And yeah, I can see how, as great as they are, LP could put them to shame live, which is (ironically) nothing to be ashamed of because they're great in their own right. Consider yourself lucky! Never getting to see them live will always be one of my biggest regrets in life. I've always been a tightwad & have missed out on a lot of great shows. Nothing lasts forever, and any day could be our last. Now, when my favorite artists are in the area (and I can afford it) I jump on those tickets. 😂

From this description, it can be concluded that the song "Talking to Myself" tells about Talinda's struggle to help Chester Bennington get rid of depression. It was as if Talinda's struggle was being hampered, because it seemed that Chester kept closing himself and moving away without ever wanting to open up so that it seemed as if Talinda was only talking to herself. Through this song, Chester seems to want to express that everyone has tried to help him. But still, he seemed to want to take his own net and do not want to blame anyone.

Honestly suffering from depression myself rn, I understood it exactly like this, since I realize at times this is how I make my mom and grandma feel about me. It's a powerful message aimed at us suffering this sickness: we must never forget that those close to us are struggling as well, the same self-awareness and empathy that got us in this place needs to be given to them so they can truly help us ❤ reach out to them, it's always the better option.

You know what's really weird, when Chester died, I turned to my hero academia to inspire me to be better and remember him in a healthy way, and when Stan lee died my entire life crumpled down around me, I'm 16 and my two top idol/inspirations died just a year apart and I went into a deep depression, and then I heard the new season of my hero academia was having another season a month later and I found it as a sign so my decade resolution was to stop crying for them but instead be happy they lived a full and loved life, and I know your just a person on the internet who isn't actually him but thank you anyways

I tried looking at a camera to talk about Chester's death, and I couldn't do it... It's hard not to cry because I also feel connected like everyone in these comment sections, and I don't want to believe it's true. It's a harsh reality to come to terms with the fact that someone that I idolized for so long left this earth the way he did... Also, apparently Linkin Park isn't eligible for induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame until 2025, but they should be inducted today in my opinion.

WaveMusic same for me. Didnt understand the lyrics for maybe 10 years but LOVED the music of LP. Then we learned english at school and i startet to understand what he was singing about. Just made grow my love even more. And 2014 i finaly made it to a Concert. It was MAGIC!!! So much love for the Guys. I cant even remember a time before Linkin Park. Not old enough. I’ll be honest, when this album came out I wasn’t initially on board as I thought it was a little too poppy for LP and wanted more rock but damn I have come to appreciate it and love songs this. RIP Chester. So glad I got to see them in concert ❤

This video in particular, is the most painful of all. I still remember when I received the notification on my phone, but I couldn't watch it because I was going to the shopping. When I came back home, I opened the notification, and then I came to the comments... I just freezed out, I couldn't believe it. I searched his name on google, and again, I couldn't believe. It's strange when you feel hurt with the loss of someone who doesn't even know about your existence, but for some reason, I felt that way. After this tragedy, I had a hard time with linkin park music. I couldn't listen to it without feeling bad. I spent almost 7 years without being able to hear linkin park music until this year. Now I feel that I can listen to his voice again without feeling that bad feeling, but the truth is it will forever hurt because he is now one more light in a sky of a million stars.

Zalhala me too... it's awful that we won't be able to see him, his smile, to visit concert where he alive. I can't believe that there are people who think that he is unworthy of our tears because of his addictions. It doesn't matter. If he was a bad man, he is not attracted to people. People would not cry for almost a week not asked to establish a monument to him, was not going to be together in their cities to say goodbye to him.

This song hits hard when you realize it's been 6 goddamn years. Think about it, the time length between the Living Things album and One More Light album is shorter than now and the release of this video. Oh God, time spares no one.

This was released the day Chester left us 💔 20.07.2017 😢 It's still the song I listen to most of the time!!! Rock in heaven, dear Chester ❤️

Thank you Chester for everything you have done for me over the years. Its hard to think you could make a connection with someone you have never met. But alas, I had done just that. Grew up listening to this band and I agree. If I feel like have nowhere to run to, I just play any album by these guys and I make the world my own.

20/06/2017 it was around 3:00 pm, I had not slept for 1 day, I heard this song that had just been released and I went to sleep, I woke up it was night and my mother said to me "you like Linkin Park, right? um singer of this band has just been announced dead" an anguish I had never felt before

I grew up with Linkin Park, they have been a place I could go to at all times. It truly breaks my heart finding out that my hero passed away. #RIPCHESTER ❤

After all this time.... Always!

Truly heartbreaking. I've never mourned the loss of a celebrity, but this one hit me hard. Exactly a week later, and Linkin Park is all I've been listening to. Still can't get over this. We really should've listened harder to their songs. I'm crying over all of their songs. Chester, you were damn strong! Not gonna be the same without you.

Honestly, I can't believe he's gone. He was/is such an inspiration in my life. I know people are trying to get the views up for Talking to Myself but I think we should also focus on their most viewed song too. Numb is almost at 700 million views. If we try we could totally get them to a billion views. I think we should try for Chester and for the band. I've loved this band for almost 8 years (since I was in middle school) and it's hard to believe it. Even after a week. I just hope he's happy now and that his friends and family feel the support we, the fans, are trying to give them. Let's do this for them and get Numb to 1 billion views!

I am a true fan of Linkin Park since the day I listened to them for the first time. I could clearly see how people were hating their music style in recent times. No one was ready to hear what Chester was wanting to convey through the lyrics. So Chester had only 1 option left to make people realize and understand the true meaning of the songs and from which phase he is going through. So he took such a step. RIP Chester 😭😭😭. You will never be forgotten.....
