@@ramprasad9277 in this iteration of batman, he was so obsessed with only being vengeance in order to save his city that he wasn't seeing results..that's why he says at the end that he says he must also become "hope" for his city in order to help them. I do agree that hope and light is more supermanish..but well have to wait and see to see how this Bruce Wayne/batman character evolves in the next movie..I'm expecting more balance between Bruce Wayne playboy in the light and batman at night in the sha8

Batman doesn't even solve the case, Catwoman solves the case. He pretty much helps the Riddler the whole time. And he never catches the Riddler. Not to mention the several unrealistic scenes where Batman goes unconscious and somehow NOBODY tries to take off his mask. The police just carry him to the police station without removing his mask or his utility belt!!! AND the new mayor gets shot in the side and then a few minutes later she is wading in the water with no clear sign of injury and not worried about bandage or wound getting wet. The dialogue between Alfred and Batman was terrible ...the movie was most def FLAWED!

This is hands down the best movie i ever saw. I nearly cried at that amazing intro when that light goes that we just barly see... followed by those calm steps that cuts through the noise of the city and gets the thugs attention and we see the Bat... I leaned back cause then i FELT that this would be a ride i would enjoy. I was "moviehigh" for days. You know that meme of escobar looking thoughtful in different places? Yeah that was me. I don't feel this way too often, but this is one of those channels where I look at the sub count and am in disbelief that the figure isn't 100x what it is. I love your format and the way you ask questions, plus the questions themselves are always incredibly unique. I haven't even seen this movie but still sat through all of this. Keep it up!

I agree- Roger got “softer” in his years after Gene died, and I loved him for it. He brought an Everyman humanity to his review that was missing before. Watch his Batman Begins review. I’ve not sure he gives that same review before Siskel’s death. Greatest film critic of all time.

I loved this film a lot, saw it twice now.probably seeing it two more times in theatres even though I agree with a lot of the criticisms. The vibe of this universe just grabs me so much that I cannot wait to see how they evolve all the characters in the rest of this trilogy. It really leaves a lot on the table for it to be (not right now but after a full trilogy) the best batman trilogy weve seen so far. Not necessary the movies individually but the overarching story as a whole.

*Matt Reeves is wrong* *This is an excerpt from the book Batman and Psychology written by Dr. Travis Langley* "...Taking up a cause when inspired by a loved one’s death and making it one’s life’s work does not mean the person is mentally ill. Batman channels his grief for his parents into the campaign their deaths inspired, but he’s not alone in that regard. Real-world social superheroes, individuals whose misfortunes push them to levels of social activism that touch so many lives, find new purpose in life and make their losses meaningful by striving to keep others from suffering the same. They may follow their new purposes by raising public awareness of the problems, pushing for stricter laws and tougher penalties, lobbying for indirect deterrents like alcohol taxes, or even pursuing perpetrators.Outraged over the lenient sentence leveled against the drunk driver who killed her daughter in a hit-and-run, Candace Lightner made a vow, promising herself “that I would fight to make this needless homicide count for something in the years ahead,” and went on to found Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD, later renamed Mothers Against Drunk Driving)" There are several people in our real world who become social activists and take up real world issues in the wake of a terrible tragedy. This is what Bruce did too.
