See how his pupils are rapidly contracting and dilating? That’s called “pinning”. Birds will do that when they are feeling strong emotion, most commonly associated with excitement or contentment.

The tone of the voice is so important for parrots. It is no secret that all parrots love to hear baby talks from us. They love high pitched sounds. As you stated they understand us and it is through tone of our voices. They are extremely smart I love them so much
