Feel like it’s a missed opportunity, as the interview could have been more “fun”, so people can see a different side of minister but end up conversation like so serious 😅 but good attempt! hope to see more of such interviews! Can get the CEO funny guy to do it!

Hi Minister, I think the charging of battery is the main obstacle. The EV world must come together to develop interchangeable battery, Standardizing the battery compartment design for different horse power cars. Then the Battery changing stations will replace the full charged battery for the cars in just 10 or 15 mins. The station will then charge these returned batteries. The economic of scale and the efficiency will drive the switch to EV without any hinderance! I hope Singapore can push this idea and be the game changer in the EV industry!

Very nice conversation. Hope to see few more parts of this interview between the host and the FM on topics that concern about Singapore on area such as security, climàte change etc. Like the way the Minister answered that gives some insight how the govt think. Hope the govt understand that there NO free lunch in this world. Govt will need to give back some form of monetary incentive to Singaporeans. We buy shares we hope the company so that we can get some good dividend. Similarly else why vote for PAP or any other parties ? The MP how much are they earning per month with the MP allowance? Is it $ 16 000 + ? Not bad for a non full time MP who could pursue their passion and work another full time job. If each MP work a 2 terms you can estimate their savings from this office. The men and women on the street have to worry about bill increases, food increases etc. And the office holders and the cabinet ministers are drawing salary or allowance that advances faster than the general population. When i serve the national service my allowance back in 1990s are just $200 +. Politicians serving rhe country, how much are they getting? This is something for PAP to ponder. We dont compare what the billionaries are having. Its the comparison between sky and earth. Even the 1 room rental flat ppl are better off. Social workers flock to help them till they have so many left over can food they expire and throw. Near my house there is a rental flat. Only 4 residents collecting free lunch the rest mostly the old i suppose they were helped by those door deliver food charity (so call 60 cent meals. Likely to be free for these residents). One of the 4 even have both of these 2 charity supply. Best of all, the volunteer who help to distribute the free lunch EAT or CORRUPT the companies sponsored stuffs given to the free lunch collectors. Such as masks, cowhead butter etc. How i know ? I experience it myself. Volunteer told me to place in her trolley which she push daily to do her volunteering work. She is early by 1 hour and most of the collectors came late because no point coming when the free lunch are not here. This she will corrupt 50 % or more of these goodies. She been in charged for more than 5 years. Ppl who are ex collectors told me too. Even my parent told me too. I kept quiet cos she treated many residents very well. You wont think that she is corrupted till such. To you, you may felt she is self sacrificing volunteer. I heard a collector who helped her before how the volunteer corrupt. I am pissed now cos when collectors who argue with her and left out of anger, they likely to suffer cos they need to fork out extra money to cater for this food. While she ? continue to corrupt whenever there are free goodies. I thought of taking over her when she died or go nursing home so that i can clean all these shits but unfortunately i also left due to some unexpected argument with her. No wonder those who left wete so upset when i mention about this volunteer mths ago to them. She never repentful to these ex collectors even when 1 got prostrate cancer. I really hope to .ake police report on her. Is this considering stealing or corrupting charity stuffs ? Instead of dividing equally to collectors she hide and bring home. I was told that she give it to her grandchildren, as the a/m collector told me this volunteer used to told her my grandchildren like it.her children will take this ill gotten goodies too. While the collector ssid her own children want nothing to do with these charity goodies. When collectors died or stop collecting free lunch, she never update the charity HQ, she will try to give the free lunch away to other residents she fancy. Our existing collectors. One even got 5 packets. An ex collector told me he saw and follow him home, the extra free luch are used to fed pigeons at corridor. When i casually told the collector dont feed the pigeons with free lunch he didnt deny. Its a big taboo to feed animals with free lunch. The organization wont allow. The a/m collector complain to area volunteer supervisor about how this volunteer anyhow give away free lunch and goodies, the supervisor played down the incident. The a/m collector told me the supervisor will give them lobang to go to attend courses paid via skill future grants ? And both the attendants and supervisor will get $ 50 cash rebates. Illegal right. Can get sued in court right ? Thus the corrupted volunteer will hide the actual no. of collectors to make it look as if the ppl collecting is always same no. Why? So that the gooedies will not drop. You see the point. I did call 2 police station hotline recently to ask if i can report her corruption or stealing yes i can. But the police investigating officer may refer my complain to the charity to investigate. Guess what ? The HQ likely to refer to the area volunteer supervisor and perhaps cover up ! Thus i reluctant to report.if the volunteer is alerted she likely to grumble in her heart and stop for awhile but as humans nature we are greedy. Sooner or later u think she will not resume again. Its so easy to catch her acts. Just send some ppl to donate free stuffs saying they are from companies. Will like to do so every week but she must come early say 745am. Then video her. Give more attractive goodies like cowhead butter. Groceries thats pretty expensive and easy for her to put in her trolley voice record telling her to distribute to collectors only say each person 3 packet of butters. Not for non members. Do this 4 weeks see how she react. Its timefor the govt to expose such scrupulous volunteers and charge them in court. Will we rid such charity corruption. Nope. But we can inspire more good men and women who really want to do good cause to step up. I ready to act as witness but will the government care to investigate what i said ? My intention is simple. Rid the black element, expose to media and report the true no. of collectors so that no extra goodies be given to this corrupted volunteer. If police would investigate how individuals steal ccdc vouchers for 1 room residents and free masks given by temasik holdings, i do not see why this volunteer could not be charged and put to jail. I ready to make police report but will the police willing to check cctv and expose her stealings ? without alerting the charity organization? I could introduce a mole to provide details when goodies given and how many. Police can verify by the carton boxes the volunteer dump in nearby hdb rubbish bin which state quantities of goodies. Or case too trivial for MSF or CPIB to investigate ? Any media wish to cover this story? Or private investigating companies for its biz promotion. Can contact me privately.

Too bad the questions were very simple and shallow. Driving a car and conducting an interview seems very dangerous. Can the questioner really focus on the Minister's answers and hone her followup questions while also concentrating on not getting into an accident? It is really a waste of an opportunity to pose more intriguing questions of the minister of finance like how he thinks Singapore can best handle economic repercussions if Covid make Singapore's hub status less valuable, is income gap inequality also widening here despite the pandemic (rich getting richer while poor gets poorer as in the West), is he personally optimistic that Singapore can take down the mask mandate by this year 2022 or is he more pessimistic that we can only stop the mandate only much later in 2023 or 2024. For trivia questions, I am surprised he was never asked for his favourite movie, book (fiction and non fiction) of 2021, where did he use his Singapore Rediscover vouchers. What a waste of an opportunity to learn more about the thoughts of a potential future PM!

Politics and Celebrity fame is more important than SD measures. What is the point of wearing masks and having multiple passengers in the car? If kenna, all kenna already esp if aircon with in minutes exposure in the vehicle, MTF minister leading by example of stupidity? Mask in this case is a social Politically Correct effort, no really a science based one.
