Talking History |6| Delhi: The decline of Tughlaq dynasty
Description - Talking History is a documentary series on Rajya Sabha TV charting the past of fabulous Indian cities and their history.
Ferozshah Tughlaq succeeded Muhammad Bin Tughlaq as the Sultan of Delhi in mid 14th century. Feroz Shah was remarkably different from his cousin Muhammad Bin and reversed several of his decision, which were considered anti-people. Besides, he is also known as one of the finest builder and conservator. Ferozshah Kotla fort, Delhi’s first city on the banks of river Yamuna was commissioned by him. His wazirs also built several gardens, markets, hospitals and mosques across the city. The near century long Tughlaq dynasty rule finally went into decline after raids by Timur Lang, which gave way to Sayyid and Lodi dynasty rule in Delhi.

Another one of amazing episodes of Talking History..!! Kudos to Rajya Sabha TV..!! ☺👍👌
good work! The series is very well shot.
it sounded so good ...then i realized it carries the courtyard apocalypse in the background ....:D :D amazing videos
when you show the monuments Kindly put a label..which monument are you showing..
I always perceived history of Delhi sultanate to be a boring part filled with difficult to remember chronology of rulers who built unattractive structures around Delhi, without much cultural richness during the time and not much impact on the present (since I only considered the Mughal rule to be the reason for all the Muslim influence and culture that we see in Indian society today). This series has completely changed my perception (special thanks to DU professor Late Shri Sunil Kumar).I’m now able to appreciate the history of Delhi sultanate much better only because of this series. Thanks to RSTV for producing this show and my respect to the teachers in the show for imparting this knowledge.
If I'll be a millionaire then will spend all my money in restoration of monuments.

After Ghiyasuddind Tugalaq , Muhammad bin Tugalaq became the sultan not Firoz Shah .
I love tughlaq
My heart is bleeding to see these historical places in such a terrible condition. This only happens to Muslim monuments in India.

Babur's name was ZAHIRUDDIN Muhammad BABUR and not JALALUDDIN as said in this narrative........Jalaluddin was title of AKBAR the Great.
