Every time I listen to this album, I feel hidden parts of my brain start to open up

I love these guys. Here in the DC suburbs we had WHFS in Bethesda MD playing stuff like this,That radio station is gone and the radio waves are completely polluted with crappy music, playing the same 300 songs over and over day after day.

Bought this album when it first came out. Formed a big part of my life back then, and 40 years on it doesn't sound the least bit dated.

I read this is trent reznors favorite album. I can see why he finds inspiration from it. Thanks for sharing. Love that its straight from the vinyl too.

My mother was going to get me this for my birthday. But she couldn't find it, so she had to get Naked, which is the most mediocre album Talking Heads made. Tragic really, since this album sounds so good on vinyl. Even just using my phone.

It's too bad you couldn't include the song "Once in a lifetime". It's one of the best in this album. That song helped The Talking Heads become very famous. One of their most original tunes.

You're right, but if you click on the "sort by" button, and read the notes, before the "Link's" section you will find one that sends you to my upload of the song in question. And then, if you look at my most recent uploads, right after this - the last in the series - you'll find the same track in "Single" edition in 12" format with "Seen And Not Seen" on the back. Sorry, I was wrong: the button is "Show more" and not "Sort by". I usually look at the pages of YT in Italian and so, switching to English, I confused the terms ...".

Bales Chronson Sure does. I had the screen minimized and opened up my browser to see "which" Joy Division song YT had redirected me to from the Talking Heads feed I was listening to. LOL

@@donaldpetersen3513 According to Wikipedia, "The Overload," was Talking Heads' attempt to emulate the sound of British post-punk band Joy Division. The song was made despite no band member having heard the music of Joy Division; rather, it was based on an idea of what the British quartet might sound like based on descriptions in the music press.

Exactly, Side 2 minus B1 (equal first track of the second side). I would have been very happy to upload it in its entirety but, as we well know, to upload music to YT you have to extricate between copyright and monetization of the owners of the same. And anyway, on October 6th 2016 I had uploaded the entire album which, unfortunately, was later blocked on January 16th 2018, when it had reached 979,528 views, with 6298 likes and 268 dislike.
