I give kudo's to great talent, great "artists"...then there is David Byrne specifically and the Talking Heads in general as "Forces of Nature", very few musicians (some Peter Gabriel stuff comes to mind) have every garnered that title from me. Van Morrison, great artist, NOT FORCE OF NATURE, David Bowie, close, but no cigar (great artist category), etc. Is this "Rock", well that would be a very loose definition, is it jazz, not really but...is it country, NO, is it DISCO (NO, thank GOD(s)), it is just awesome music.

What I like about this is, the verses are not sonically symmetrical. It's like a jam session that just spirals. It's a wild chant. Not a cookie cutter tempo filler. Passion.
I hate reading the comments thinking they're talking about actual serial killers. This song is way deeper on so many levels. I would say one of the best songs ever in terms of depth.

LOVE THIS SONG!!
Che momenti meravigliosi negli anni 80 con questa meravigliosa canzone! ❤❤
Reacher S2E4 :-)
I remember my mom showing me this song when I was 10 years old and honestly? Still slaps. I may not get the french part but do I still absolutely vibe to it nonetheless? Damn right

You've probably already checked what it means by now, but the french part just means, 'what is that?'

@@bisquitting2604 in the chorus, yes. I'm talking about the actual verse in French. "Ce que j'ai fait, ce soir-là Ce qu'elle a dit, ce soir-là Réalisant mon espoir, Je me lance vers la gloire, okay?" Or, in english: "What I did(/what did I do) that night, What she said(/what did she say) that night, Realizing my hope, I'm going for glory, okay?" I just thought it was interesting lmao.

@@Gweem13 I totally get what you're saying. It's a lyrically complex song. I've read some interesting interpretations, and I think the best one is that the song takes us inside the mind of someone who isn't rational. He randomly changes from first to second person, breaks into French, digresses into this strange narrative, chides someone (possibly himself) for starting conversations they can't finish and proceeds to warn others to "run, run away." Is he hearing voices? Does he have multiple personalities? Is he talking to someone else, or just himself? Who is this French story about? What did he do? Was it something real or did he imagine it? What kind of glory is he going for? I think we're supposed to be confused and maybe a little afraid. That's way more information that you wanted but just my thoughts on the issue.

Thanks so much for this early version!
A show with these guys and King Crimson wouldve been fucking dope.
Thank you Rhino, I have so many versions of this song on vinyl, but it's nice to hear it on KZread.
Psycho Killer was basically Pumped Up Kicks of the 70s and 80s.

I remember living on the outskirts of town and at the age of 6, I would play this on my CD Walkman everyday on the drive home. Now I'm 27 and still sounds fresh
