This definitely makes me miss our Chihuahua, Pooh. We had to put him down last year, the Monday before Thanksgiving. Chihuahua's are wonderful, awesome little and mighty dogs.

Just remember one important rule: you don't choose the chihuahua, the chihuahua chooses you! They have this innate sense of who's family they want to join, and if you don't force it, you'll have a loyal loving companion for years!

@@droth1031 I always had German Shepherd dogs, until I met my Chi, and indeed she chose me. I never thought I was the kind of person for a chi, or a small dog.... She is now the best dog I ever had! Though I loved them all!!!!

@@droth1031 Call BS on that one. You choose the dog when they are little according to their temperament, if the dog can't adapt when they are an adult, that's where they to the shelter. That is how it is, and people like ellin will pick up the care

I had a fair creamy white chihuahua named BooBoo and he was the love of my life and taught me how to love. I would walk him when I was tired and stuff and thought to myself Wow this is what love is like! LOL I put a box outside of my upstairs apartment with a red blanket and when I opened the door he would be nestled in the box like a baby deer! LOL After a while I kept him.

I'm a chihuahua lucky owner too! They are adorable, sensitive, smart.. They would die for mama or daddy. Endless love!

How cute. Our first chihuahua would say "Mom, now, out". He always ensured you had a paper towel or Kleenex in position for any brown deposits. He just got so used to it. I don't think he liked the feel of grass on his rear end. People didn't believe us and would be astonished when we walked him. He gave a whole new meaning to "paper trained". TRUST ME. ALL TRUE. Very smart and even though he crossed over GOD'S RAINBOW BRIDGE in 1989, there's always a hole in our hearts.

That's what I'm talking about!!! A good chihuahua. Why it's not the owner. It's the other the goes and gets along with them. The frenchie or Boston terrier is the man!!! This is a good chihuahua because of team work yesss.
