Talking Charm City Theaters with John Waters

Reminisce with Baltimore’s iconoclastic writer, director, and artist John Waters. Using Baltimore as the setting for his counter-culture movies, he has also immortalized some of his favorite Baltimore cinemas on film. Join John Waters and Joe Tropea, MCHC Director of Artist Engagement & Curator, for a virtual stroll down memory lane.

Thanks for posting this! 🙂 I went to Navy Radioman School in Bainbridge, Maryland & spent every night at the base theater & was always amazed when every feature had the censorship seal proudly displayed. Only area where that ever happened. Keep making movies John!

In the U.K. we had a female censor called 'Mary Whitehouse' she seemed like a very decent woman, she was active in the1970's, 1980's and i think the 1990's but she was definitely from a different era and she also became a bit of a figure of ridicule.
