This is brilliant!!! Genious even! And dont worry about talking with yourself. There is nothing wrong with that... If I didnt like you already, I outright endore you now... What a level head on your shoulders... Keep up the good work! You put alot of smiles on peoples faces! And there is nothing in the world that can beat that! No playing at Wembley, no making 40 hit records, no getting famous. Take all the time off you need. You have a family now. Your 56 year old you, would tell you to focus on that. Ofc, you need to be making a living, and keep up appearences, but make sure you are there for your family, and I PROMISE we will be here, whenever you get back... *bows*

This video is kinda genius. They're sitting in the same chair. The dialogue feels natural (well, as natural as dialogue fed from a 16 year old can be), and that why so many comments say "he actually time travelled". The one at 4:16 is ABSURD. They both play a Fender strat, but it looks like 16 Y.O Sammy is playing a squire. I love that his younger voice is just *slightly* higher, chalkier & less stable-pitched, while his older self has a clearer pitch, is louder & more confident.

i am new to the channel. Was this him just shaved, or did he pre record....i feel dumb asking lol but i really cant wrap my head around what went on!
That jam session though man, damn it was so good. I aspire to be able to be that good on guitar so that I can jam with my grandfather in the little time we have left. Thank you for being an inspiration man!
I couldn’t stop smiling while watching this, and the jamming session brought a tear to my eye. It’s quite inspiring to imagine what I’d say to my younger self or what my older self would say to me, but, either way, thank you for this video. It was an amazing idea and a joy to experience.
"I found myself talking to myself on multiple occasions" I was expecting 16 yo you to fade out of existence lol
This is the strangest episode of "between 2 ferns" ever There's only 1 fern No Zach Galifianakis And there are 2 guit-I clicked on the wrong video, didn't i

Dude I absolutely love this video so much! It's funny, heartwarming and entertaining all at the same time
Love the concept for this video. Have an awesome 2021.
"and what's her name?" "... it's Jenny"
This is such a cool concept. Makes me think a lot about what i'd tell myself 10 years ago. Beautiful content Sammy, makes me emotional.

Me too. Not to proud to say that I got a bit weepy when I thought about my life at 16, almost 50 years ago.

That "sounds good man" at the end of the jam session was one of my favorite things to hear early on in my playing and one of my favorite things to tell guitarists that aren't very confident yet.
Subscribed. This is one of the best videos I’ve ever watched on here. I teared up several times. Well done!
Woah, without a beard Sammy G looks like Sean Lennon
If you haven't shaved actually this would be mind blowing.
You are honestly my favorite content creator on this website. You blend wholesome and comedy so perfectly and on top of all of that you are an incredibly talented musician. Keep up the great work Sammy G.
Damn, dude! This is awesome! It almost brought me to tears. I don’t know, but it really felt pure and genuine. Now i wonder what i would say if i get a chance to talk to my younger self.. i really enjoyed this. Hope you get the well deserved break. Looking forward to your next video when you get back! Cheers!
"can I have the lottery numbers?"

This video should be shown in every high school. Amazing content. Some of the questions/answers are obvious to an adult, but teens think differently.
Such a great video! Love your content and spirit, bro! A lot of sage wisdom in this too. Happy playing, everyone!
Sammy without a doubt you are the most underrated KZreadr. The way in which you incorporate such amazing storytelling, your love of music, and your GROWTH. Holy fuck Sammy, I'm just SO proud of you as a fellow Canadian making such amazing use of this platform.
I love how his 16 self only plays in one pentatonic shape, it's genius 😂

genius, or for real 😕 I know it was for me, until I started going to a guitar tutor. Watched the fretboard, played in A minor pentatonic, and picked in all down strokes. 😑
This is honestly one of my favorite videos ever, such a great idea!
