That was my same thought. I don't think it could be a romantic connection. At some point it became more of a friends thing. They seem to have different view according to some important views like family. They would make really great friends with each other because each one can provide the other with knowledge the other doesn't have or didn't think about.

I love that they talked about the hard things in an open, forthcoming, and respectful manner: Stanton's potential struggle with his family accepting him being in an inter-racial relationship and Gianfranco owning up to his unhealthy feelings in regards to his ex when he was dating him.

I was shocked to scroll to the comments and see everyone compliment Gianfranco's looks when I specifically scrolled to see people talk about how hot Stanton is. I mean, I'm surprised but not surprised. Personally, Stanton's eyes, smile and mannerisms were more magnetic to me. Again, super interesting seeing people who look like Gianfranco point out features, such as his eyes, that I would have never paid any attention to.
