This band is hilariously underappreciated. With some bands it's kinda like they have 'potential' but are either 1) not amazing songwriters, 2) production is way off or 3) just too esoteric . You guys have it all though. I cannot fathom why you haven't seen massive success.

This has a lot of Talking Heads influence and it sounds amazing because Thumpasaurus perfectly captures their (Talking Heads)essence but brings their own energy and lyrical mysticism to the forefront. This one is a banger for sure.

The only reason I found the ad was because I noticed that the view count had been pretty steady for that fortnight, then shot up 80k over night, and I went looking for the reason. So funnily enough, I found the ad through Thump, not the other way around :p

Wow, I saw a commercial with one of their songs, got my phone out in time to check what it was (Struttin) and this is and incredible rabbit hole. If I didn’t know this song was Thumpasaurus I’d have thought it was a Devo deep cut.

No idea if it was on purpose, but if it was, you absolutely hit the DEVO influence style on the head with this one. The chorus feels EXACTLY like something from one of their earliest albums, the topic and bizarre visuals fit in with their band perfectly, if you told me someone from DEVO helped make this I would 100% believe you. Other folks mentioned Talking Heads, that's definitely there too, but most of all I feel like this is a DEVO song. I know it can be annoying to have your work compared to some unrelated product, just know I mean it as the highest possible compliment I can give - DEVO is the only band I've ever listened to (besides maybe y'all) that I can't think of 1 song I dislike from them, and I've listened to their every album tons of times.

I just discovered this band, while making a playlist of bands that remind me of Oingo Boingo... yes this band reminds me very much of them.

I feel like there's a Viagra Boys & Thumpasaurus tour coming soon. Calling it right now.
