Thanks so much. We stayed for 7 extra nights on land. Honestly probably could have done 9-10 just to get even more out of the trip. But 7 nights was enough to get us hooked on Alaska! Emma & Jack

Did you guys buy any smoked salmon or other seafood on the trip? If so where and did you ship it home?

We brought home some smoked salmon. It was available at every port and pretty much the same selection at each port. The best place to buy was actually at the Anchorage airport on our land portion. It has the same selection but about 30% cheaper. We did get other seafood home but that will be a special episode coming up though.

@@gduhate at each of the local shops they do free tastings of the smoked local fish so make sure to try before you buy. They offered pretty much all local types smoked as well and were shelf stable so no need to refrigerate while bringing home.

@@lindsayslivealittle ok good to know. The most important question is. Where can we buy the best beer?

@@gduhate Juneau has the best brewery (Devils Club). Skagway has a couple good ones as well (Skagway Brewing company and Klondike Brewing Company). We didn’t see one in Ketchikan but there is an Alaskan Brewing Company tap bar in the NCL port terminal there. However, on the ship they have a few of the Alaskan Brewery beers in cans and then the brewpub onboard has a great selection of on tap beers plus some cans/bottles.
