I played phantasia, abyss and vesperia and I have to say that I've found some nice comparisons to them. Van seems like a far more charismatic version of alexei. And duke seems to be a more fortunate version of dhaos. There was also a character that played alexei's role in phantasia but because of sprite limitations he was reduced to an obscure background character.

Van is great character, that really could use more playability. He can do combos, cast spells & good at any distance.

Yup he’s my fav final boss in tales of series and I like how he had plan and believe what he was doing is good

@@EVERYWHERE_MAN I would not say Van was that bad, series have tonns of characters who kill just because fun. Van have own ideals & stuff. And Luke also was behaving pretty stupid from time to time.

Okay, so I know the shirt is what he was wearing beneath the tabard/scapula and the sleeves got blown off, and the half-scapula and coattails are what remains of the tabard/scapula, but where the hell did Van get those Hakama over his pants and boots?
