Once you’ve worked in the automotive industry for quite a few years, you get to drive everything that’s a hot rod that comes in on trade. If you’re in management like I was you get to take it home and play with it. The one thing that you figure out eventually after you fiddle around with a lot of these kinds of cars is you don’t want to own any of them. The motto should be buy things that go up in value not down. Imagine, someone said to me it’s a shame you don’t have your original 66 SS 396 Chevelle, my first new car, I wouldn’t want it, I didn’t want to insure it and take care of it and keep it in the garage etc. etc. It always sounds good and looks good but it’s a toy that you are eventually be tired of. Been there, done that. If it flies, floats, rolls or flocks, rent it don’t own it.
