Taking Control Over How We Transition- No 1-Way

It is important to undersea transgender people don't all have the same goals, needs or physiology. In this video Mason (spiceforce5 / @spiceforce5 ) and I talk about his slower approach to transitioning. We talk about using our own intuition instead of following doctors who get very focused on standard dosages and the idea that all transmasculine people want to become Supermen. It's not always the case. Also we wonder about where all the FTM elders are.

I think of myself as an expert, and then I realize there is so much more to learn and explore. It's wonderful.

You have a great sense for finding those guys who are on the 'less traveled path.' I'm glad you and Mason mentioned there should be more input from the elder guys.

Thanks for this! I had wondered if I could go on a low dose of T for a while but I was under the impression that I had to be at a certain level. I don't want to go through such a fast change either. Not only for myself but actually my parents as well. I've had to meet them where they're at and slowly hold their hand through this. And honestly, its only helped me to slow myself down and really allow myself time to think deeply and process how I feel. I think whenever I've felt super strong about something and just dove in nose first, i ended up realizing I put way too much of myself in it on one end when I was really more in the middle about how I felt about something. So this was perspective was really refreshing for me!

so happy to hear mason's story. I can really relate to not fitting into the "ftm transistion" norm. Loving the past two videos.

Great discussionI really needed some perspective right now - have a lot of decisions awating me soon. I can really relate to wanting to take things really slow, and fear the "before and after" part more than i anticipate it... It's a slow process for me. I've also been really curious about elder transmen, what they look like, how they live and health problems and such...

This video totally speaks to you. I am glad you are watching and hope this was refreshing to see, we are all going through a similar process, yet, it remains our own! And throughout it you can change and modify. Nice work! Trust yourself for sure.

Thank you Sam, I sometimes worry that the deep topics brought up in these videos will go overlooked, because of peoples' attention spans or the fact that I don't look like a supermodel or something-- but kind comments like yours really motivate and inspire me to continue to do my best! Thanks for watching.
