A lot of prep and planning go into prescribed fire operations. The same can be said for our partnerships with stakeholders. Partnerships with those we serve are at the core of what we do to protect, manage and promote forest resources for the citizens of North Carolina. This prescribed fire operation conducted in partnership with Duke Energy along the Shearon Harris Reservoir in Chatham County showcases the value in our partnerships and how N.C. Forest Service personnel use innovation and technology to get work done on the ground, all while working toward a common goal to take care of the land.
