Taking A Look at The Real 1970 Roadrunner Ad Car
We take a look at the original ad car for plymouths 1970 Roadrunner. We not only show how well done this car has been restored but also what makes it “The ad car”. Thanks to its current owner who let us take a look at it in its newly restored state. He also gives us a bit of the history about this car, like how it was found on a reservation. Also, a thank you to my dad for making this video in my place that allows for him to give the history of growing up and seeing the ads for this exact Roadrunner.

It was very beautiful real nice brought me back the days when they were around but it brought me more in the 60s when I used to watch the roadrunner that beep beep
My buddy had a 1969 Roadrunner. White with black stripes and vinyl top. 383 all worked over.4spd.
My best friends brother has one of those. He ended up wrapping the car around a tree distorting the car!
That car takes me back to my childhood. In dads 69 Super Bee . My mother learned to drive in it . It was there daily driver. I was 5 years old when dad got it.lol
This is the only car in my 30+ years that I have ever seen an August 1st built Public Relations vehicle, the 801 on the data plate. Also the build number 100023, this was the 23rd car built, the driver door plate will also say August and the build sheet, if he has it, will probably have a Y13 code. Most of the cars built in August were Public Relations vehicles: ads, commercials, ect. were all built first. I had a '70 charger that was a Public Relations car, built August 2nd. Burnt Orange inside and out, 1 year only color. Engine, trans, and rear end coded June of '69 and had '69 charger tail lights, all correct for the car. I love that this car survived and has been well restored. Looks to be in good hands.

Beautiful car. Love the restoration. Only thing I noticed was that they should have blacked out behind the grill so you can't see the bright yellow from behind the grill. Not a criticism. Just an observation. Awesome car.

I agree with Schact re: the absence of blackout on front of radiator support behind grille. This was applied to ALL vehicles with lighter colored body paint hues. It was present for the press shoot 53yrs ago; Sad that this detail was overlooked during restoration. It can still be fixed though.

at 5:14 sec, i wonder why the back seat is upholstery is different from left to right. right side, passenger, has vertical pleats on the upper section, driver side doesn't. were they all like this?

It attends a ton of car shows.
I don't know if the camera did a poor job portraying the actual color or not, but the yellow appears harsher than the original "Lemon Twist". This looks more like a Corvette yellow than the "creamier", more pale Lemon Twist used on '70 Plymouths. Otherwise, great restoration. It would have been nice to see the pics of what it looked like before he restored it.
Be good if you turned tha camera round the right way.

What about the dust trail on the passenger side? Is it correct or run backwards? But it is a Beautiful car.
