Well done. Worth watching. You did marvelos film
I knew this was gonna be sad when I saw the relief-mat foam being used for the message capsule things the aliens sent, and simple strip magnets to hold the light piece on the capsule and that Hugo used on his terribly done "armour". The making-his-armour-montage scene where he's just banging away on a piece of steel cable made me laugh, too. Gotta admit the concept was kinda neat, though. I liked that part. Made me picture a backstory of Earth (or a colony of humans on another planet) having been invaded and they demanded periodic tributes from us.
My word... wow Jake! It turned out so amazing! Like I was watching a real A movie! good job!
Loved it; Great work!
I hear some Mass Effect 3 music and Reaper sound effects. Hell yeah!
Jake, you have talent sir, of this there is no doubt. Josh is a friend I've met through KZread and his role was brilliant. You certainly wrote it very well. Keep up the awesome work!
that was very very damn good and very truly Awesome to watch.
I never leave comments on films, but this is impressive.. Amazing that you did this at 17! Of the hundreds of short films I've seen, this has to be one of the top five.
Great Job, So proud of you Jake!
Great job Jake! I'm Proud of you man
Wow .... Nice !
I really liked it! Thought it was well shot and acted. But, the idea that that suit could do anything, at all, pulled me out of the story. And wasn't the rocket upside down? Still, great work. And another post said you were 17? If that's true I'm more impressed! Good job!
Sounds like the Reapers from Mass Effect.
Loving it. Great Job!!! :)
ty very nice
ok but future alien tech opens the door to a lot of artistic license

Haha indeed it does. Often seems like the only motivation for plot points in most sci-fi films.
The plot, etc. something had to happen . . . The SOUND- upmixed into DSU as 5.3.4 excellent woofage, good TR in the midbass, excellent immersion
Jake, dude! This is sweet, I love the sound and set design. Will there be a BTS?

+Max Kaplan Sadly no. I really wished I would have chose to take some!
i like it!
good effects and sound. I can feel the limitations of time and budget, but its a strong story, could really benefit from being fleshed out into a longer, much more detailed piece. with more of the hows and whys filled in.

one refinement I'd throw in: whomping up a power-suit from scratch in a night is a stretch, but farmers are great improvisers and modifiers, so if he already had (or could borrow from best friend or love interest... better yet neighbor who pines for him but he's too arapped up stuff ) something like the folk-lift-suit we saw in the Aliens movie ( just the farm equipment version, which would be even more readily weaponizable).
U r the future
Was there a point??
This was alright. 👍
So It looks like a normal movie. Enough to get interested but so much left out. Why would the aliens give them the bazooka to shoot back at them? What was that white piece added to power it up and where did it come from? why the exoskeleton? Don't look and puff. Is that what happened to his wife? Why did the missiles/bazookas/hologram generators had his name on it? Why did they tell him that they were coming? Why am I writing this?
Has anyone else noticed the overused family foto idea in scifi movies. Always gotta look at a picture b4 the crap starts.
Huh?

What difference does that make? I know mediocre video when I see it.

No beginning, no plot, no ending. So typical of the shorts on KZread.
I am unable to watch any video that has a Chevrolet as it's most interesting character! Thumbs wayyyy down.!
