Takeoff from Calgary Airport (YYC) on Air Canada Express Dash 8-400Q
This is a video of the taxi out and takeoff on Air Canada Express Flight 8555 from Calgary International Airport (YYC) to Victoria International Airport (YYJ).
This was my first flight on a Dash 8-400Q. The scenery for this flight was spectacular over downtown Calgary, the Rocky Mountains and the British Columbia coat and Vancouver Island.
You may notice from funny visuals from the props as my iPhone recorded them. It looks like the props slow down and start to go backwards. Rest assured, this did not actually happen! It is a weird effect of recording propellers, and there are many videos that have better examples of this phenomenon.

Maybe... I do not know the ski resorts around Calgary well.
I find that a little odd that they fly the dash-8 to Victoria from as far as Calgary. I know its not extremely far but its farther than Vancouver. How long was the flight?

The flight was about 1:50. It isn't the longest Air Canada Q400 flight, which is Moncton to Toronto at about 2:35 to 3 hours! That's a long time on the Q400!
You mean 17 because there is no 16
