I really only play Geras (I've recently considered trying LK) and honestly Tweedy's suggestion of a projectile is a pretty good idea. I also feel like 122 shouldn't have a gap in it, just feels kinda dumb. I'm not sure if anyone else would agree but I think his f1 should be maybe 9 frames. His 1 and 3 buttons I'm pretty sure are the only ones that leave him plus, and its only by +2 frames, so I feel like him just having a mid that can compete with people d1 spamming would be nice. Either that or perhaps give him some more strings aside from f121+3 he can tick throw from. And maybe an air string that can charge his hour glass like 1221+3 would be sick, no one EVER uses his air strings, even though they're cool af.

Subzero needs faster ice ball and needs his clone to last longer and maybe make it can be thrown like mkx? Subzero really needs also no gabs safe strings so he can compates in tournaments?

I think Frost’s orb should be an ambush bc you shouldn’t be negative after a knockdown with how long the startup is. Or it should at least be sped up bc the orb cancel is not mixing anyone tbh low Ice Karpet should have a more unique mechanic too like it leaves an ice path that increase your walk and dash speed when you walk on it but ur opponent gets slower. She rlly also doesn’t need two mid block string enders. Walking punches should be able to be held so that you can manage ur kameo gauge and the distance of push back and just get rid of the other assist. I also come from mvc and dfbz so I think all assists should be ambush

Nitara with a few buffs can quickly move to top tier . She's strange as in the right hands she is great - only a few things holding her back . She will be a nightmare to play against with the right buffs . I like that . Enough only Jonny Cage and other meta rubbish . We need variety . Good stuff .

Shang I could see a new pop up string that’s constant to young and old. When I played him 99.7% of my combos started with the f4 string which I don’t think is Liu levels of good

Honestly as much as i hate to say it, adding more characters to the roster isnt a good idea. I feel like people dont understand that the bigger the roster is, the more unbalanced it is. It gets exponentially harder to balance characters with every new addition, since you have to consider their interactions with every other character. I mean, just look at super smash bros, where the worst matchup is a 7.7 to 2.3

Plus, the more characters there are. The less unique they become, often having most characters share things like animations and traits. Or having distinct characters, who are completely overshadowed by a much more powerful version of basically the same character elsewhere

Klassik examples are MK Armageddon, or for more recent examples look at the near 300+ roster for UFC 5. If you have counter examples I’d be happy to be proven wrong

For the love of God please give Scorpion more than 3 usable strings and 3 special moves. Most half baked character in the game design wise. Him and Kenshi feel like they don't even come from the same era of games...

Even if it isn't a ton of new moves, if they start working on things like they've been doing for Reptile, it'll really bring up the "low tier" characters to make the variety better. The big nerfs recently really did help, so lets bring up that low end! Also, Shang probably mostly needs a balance of his normals so young Shang isn't so minimally used. Make it feel more flexible. But also, fingers crossed for Frost. It's amazing how one move change to Sonya made her feel super relevant again! So I don't think it'll take too much to bring up the original kameos now that they've seen how the game plays for the first year.

I think the gaps are fine because you can bait, and since she's one of the highest damaging characters those baits pay off huge. Her range is the real issue imo.

The problem with geras as a geras main is his frame data. Even if I make decent reads he's slow on most of his attacks and is at minimum -7 or worse on anything. I think if he got some better frame data and some gaps were removed he'd be fine. I also think enhanced sandstorm is a little useless right now. I'd rather use the bar to get all the clocks right away. Geras also got an indirect nerf with the clock meter.

I use Havik/Goro after not liking frost. Takeda my fave character. yall have no idea how excited I am

​@@louis550a character NEEDING a specific kameo to make a move solid is a logic flaw. Every character should be fine on their own, and the kameos give them extended options. This has been a day 1 problem, Johnny is the best because that mf doesn't even NEED kameos.

Excited for the li mei buffs, what she needs though is like if standing 4 was a mid she’d feel perfect so I wish they’d do that. Like yeah she has b2 but it’s just one button, very difficult to hit confirm off of.

Smoke should had a buff

I know the ideal buff for sub zero. Just looking at sub’s kit himself, nothing about sub zeros character is special or particularly strong in comparison to the rest of the cast. The only unique feature sub really has is his ice clone, but the majority of the cast is very capable of punishing it with ease by armoring through it. They need to make it so that spending a meter on the clone will counter any armor from the opponent, which would make doing the ice clone after a blocked string be more of a mind game. This would actually give value to spending meter on that move, just like how they are giving more value to spending meter in scorpions teleport.

I play casually and I main Liu but sub is my favorite character. I feel like his ice ball is way too slow at least make EX ice ball faster like in mk11 and give him a lil more damage as far as moves go idk what he needs to move up in the tiers

The only patch I think we need is recovery times on certain characters like sub zero. A fix within the fighting system is what makes this game horrible. Hit box system is horrible. Buttons do not register at times and doesn't register in time playing online. Certain hits won't hit when it's your turn meaning your character is clearly down poking the opponent but the opponent still grabs you somehow. We can't react to a dozen hits across the screen if inputs don't register in time. And this is playing with a wired fiber optic connection

So playable but not tournament ready. The title was slightly confusing to me. Takeda news and Eminem dropping in less than an hour. Great day❤

For sub zero they could do few things, he does have many flaws Very slow ice ball that doesnt connect to any of his strings even after spending bar, can barely win trades you get hit out of it most of the times He has no meterless launcher in his base kit, string or special move like a lot of characters do, some of them having safe launching strings (B2 is rarely one, very reactable 24 frame overhead) Very high recovery on clone (44 frames can even be punished on hit by some characters or kameos) Armor and flawless blocks gaps on majority of his strings High scaling on combos can only really do damage consistently w sareena All of his special moves are very unsafe on hit and very high recovery on wiff

He's got one of the worst armored moves it has no range, and the breaker is always 2 bars because people use the EX hourglass or a 1 bar combo to load it. It also doesn't work sometimes and has cost Grr like 3 tourney runs because of it. Super overrated move.

Apparently at CEO they had 4 stations for casual MK1 play and no one played. Im sure at EVO people will play casuals but i doubt itll be hype. Here we go again, this that character will save the game. No, bc 90% of the rest suck and are weak AF. So, the 10% characters and Kams will dominate.
