Welcome to Time Warp Custom Paint! In this one minute and 43 second DIY video, we'll show you how to easily add a stunning silver leafing inlay design to your automotive custom paint arsenal. By incorporating a 1 inch strip of silver leaf, we'll create a mesmerizing swirl 3-D effect, also known as engine turning or jeweling.
To begin, we'll spray down some Lime Line Sizing glue, which will help adhere the LiMELiNE Silver Leaf to the surface. Using a roller, we'll carefully roll it out and then use a burnishing brush to achieve a uniform and polished look. Don't worry, all the tools and supplies needed for this project can be conveniently found on Amazon.
To complete this eye-catching design, we'll utilize the 1 inch LiMELiNE engine turns spinner. Crafted from machine aluminum, this tool features a cushioning rubber plate with a Velcro pad attached. This pad securely grips the 1 inch 5000 grit sanding pad, allowing for the creation of those captivating swirls in the silver leaf.
