I know I'm a little late to the party (6 years) but just seeing this now. Although I'm 56, I was 18 when this song came out. I can't believe that was 38 years ago. This is such a beautiful cover of one of my most favorite 80's songs. Thank you for sharing this with us.

nah the camera needs work and felt way too basic, the video had a lot of potential for a lot better cinematography. More creative transitions and cuts would make the video a lot more entertaining, but the music is really nice.

Cameraman or women was the 10 artist there. Flowed with the music perfectly.

As a punter who loves music but who knows nothing about music technically etc., this seems to me absolute perfection xx

It is really impressive to see people who are not only THAT good at what they do, but also appear to enjoy doing it. You can almost sense the happiness through each of the players' motions.

I especially enjoyed watching the guy in the red shirt on the right. He just looks so happy to be there.

This just blows me away. Such an essential and intense argument in favor of teaching music in school so that we can continue as a species. My words are pedantic and contrived compared to the emotion I feel from hearing all the talented players here.

Can we just take some time to appreciate how genuinly happy mr. Kennedy on the clarinet looks, just sitting there and looking like he's just really enjoying being there.

i hope a-ha live gets to see this. This is the perfect song to play in the morning driving to work. It truly brings joy to the heart....before co-workers work my blood pressure lol.

Way back when I was a kid in the eighties, I used to make fun of my friends (not mean, just joking) who were in band, playing these very same instruments. I used to tell them to learn how to play a cool instrument like the guitar. Now, fast forward nearly 40 years, and I completely realize the joke was on me. Damn this is awesome.

The pianist and violinist both clearly mix in _Flight of the Bumblebee_. The original version of _Take On Me_ by a-ha did not have the upwards range or the dissonance with the accompaniment that this version includes.

If you're referring to the rapid piano segment, it most certainly is in the original by A-Ha. The segment is played on a synthesizer in the original.

I think Albus Nix has it right. There is a rapid chromatic run in the original, but it's not the same as played here. This interpretation appears to be channelling a bit more 'Flight of the Bumblebee' than the original. Perhaps the Duo can clarify?

It's called a glissando. On every instrument, that is a glissando. It cannot be called a slide nor a slur.

This was so beautiful. Love this song in it's original form and your "remix" is so powerful. Great variations in the song and powerful blend with the instruments. Committed fan for life.

We never stop listening to this video. "Take on me" belongs to our generation, and you inspired us with this version. I felt tears running out of me every time I listen to it. Definitely, the work of the artists is to bring the fire in everybody. People are so full of boring routines that we, as artists, need to give them a path to escape. Thank you, guys.

Eh, the timing's off and the bass is too biased toward the left ear, as well as missing notes at the start. Plus, the camerawork sucked.

It sounded perfect to me, and the camerawork wasn't God awful; at least he wasn't shaking or bobbing and showed a panorama rather than just standing still and being boring. Also it's not like they were performing for the queen, this is just a nice thing they put together for the public to enjoy but I guess some people have nothing better to do than look down on others and point out miniscule flaws rather than congratulate them for what most people agree was a damn good job.

We all look at and experience things on (slightly?) different ways. Probably due to experiences in the past, profession, character, how he/she is taught to etc etc. As much as i agree with yours i quess Tiktalik just sits on a different frequency when watching this one. Terrific recording! Thank you all. Your arrangement is exciting, challenging and dramatic but, always, so musical. Love the bassoon solo - an unexpected touch! I would like to have heard more of Marnie Laird - she is such a wonderful pianist - but I felt she was a wee bit drowned out by the other instrumentalists in this arrangement. Well Done all. Hey Brookylyn Duo! I love all your covers but I have to say that this one and hallelujah were my favourites! I just auditioned for a strings ensemble and an orchestra that preforms at the Massey Hall. I play the piano and cello. I started cello around 2 years ago and I play grade 6 piano. There were around 1000 people auditioning and I was actually one of them! Today I got a letter that said I made the strings ensemble with around 43 other people and I was so excited. You have both been huge roll models towards me, Patrick for the cello and Marnie on the piano. I want to thank you so much and please never stop making these amazing covers! -Ashley

Aha what a classic piece done in the best classical way possible. Piano solo was awesome.
