Barbara is on fire with the Thilo Wolf Big Band playing the title song from her album TAKE OFF!
In contrast to the previous clip with Thilo Wolf's Big Band, JUST PLAY, this time the entire band backs Barbara for a particularly powerful solo. You'll notice this time there is a bass player, at first she refrains from playing bass, but soon her foot automatically returns to the pedal bass :-) For that reason she will sometimes turn her pedels off, but play anyway.

It just flows out of her. What a talent. Watching her play that Hammond, reminds me of watching a really good pilot hand fly a Boeing 747 into a perfect landing.

Barbara, fantastic, also the Thilo Wolf Big Band - first class! I'm an alt-rocker and grew up with the organs and guitars from the 70s. I hope this organ sound, the joy of playing, the breathtaking improvisation and the blind understanding of jazz musicians in a class of their own will stay with us forever! A Hammond is still the measure of all things in jazz. We Germans with a tremendous tradition in organ building recognize this without envy.

Eines meiner Lieblingsstücke von ihr. Sie und auch die anderen Musiker sind brillant! Ich weiß nicht, ob Barbara eine gute Tänzerin ist, aber ich könnte es mir vorstellen. Sie tanzt geradezu auf ihrer Orgel, mit Händen und Füßen! Unglaublich!

Love her work with German big bands. They used to broadcast a lot more of these big band concerts on German tv in the past. Luckily we have YT!

Also, Barbara Dennerlein has an absolutely unrestricted ability to make her supporting musicians, ♂️ and ♀️ alike, to play at their absolute bests as well 😃😃😃😃😃. ¶ As a girl and a younger woman, Barbara Dennerlein had been granted opportunities to learn and hone its God-given talents. That's what it means to be a German ♀️ human being 😃😃😃😃😃.
I saw her live with Joey deFrancesco (RIP) in Montreal long time ago.
