Hello and thank you my dear friend for this wonderful moment that I spend in your company. By visiting again and again your KZread channel, I discover your visit to Luc sur mer. Not far from there, there were the landings of the Allied forces in Normandy. Indeed, this song makes me think of my detours on the beaches of Normandy to pay tribute to those who fell during the landing of June 6, 1944. But France saw the arrival of the first liberators from other horizons, from other countries and from all over the world. I want to pay tribute to you and thank you, but also congratulate you for this beautiful posting with your motorcycle and also with these wonderful images of this region that I know well by going since 1994 to collect myself in the different cemeteries of the different forces. allies in presence in Colleville, Caen, Bayeux and many others but also in the German cemetery of La Cambe because some had no other choice as Alsatian to have to go to fight, or to go to work. As in my family, some were forcibly enrolled in the German armies, others had to go to work in German armament factories, young women were sent to the "Lebensborn" others had to leave as cooks for the enemy navy and others tried to resist because they were too old and disabled to be sent to the Russian or Western front, like my grandfather with a sick foot, fearing the only camp of concentration that exists in France and a few kilometers from my home "at the Struthof camps", each meter of path traced in the mountain which there even corresponds to a deceased incorporated worker. A huge like for this sharing, but also my bravo and my congratulations as my compliments of course. Receive all my gratitude and my respect. Hello dear Aimé Before the pandemic, my biking friends and i would go to Luc sur mer every year for a rally. We have visited all the places that you mention in your comments. It is a very humbling experience. I wonder what those brave men, who laid down their lives for us, would make of the world today. I made a video of our visit in 2012, which coincided with June 6th. It made me realize what She’ll be comin round the mountain meant, as you really have to drive around and around mountains to get anywhere. I can see why you’d be daydreaming about country roads, as I’m not a city person.,

Only one fault with this otherwise faultless instrumental Geoff - - not enough of the bike! Made me hanker for the days when I rode one - not as big as the one you look to be riding at the start, but once you've been converted from 4 wheels to 2 with an engine attached, well - you never lose the love. hi ,Geoff ,theres some great beaches,all , around that coast,going , then into brittany ,as for the music totally excellent ,I loved Johns work all my life , and his music helped me through ,many a dark time , and discover the country boy which lived inside but was trapped in the city ,till I came to live in France ,we now have 4 grandchildren all born here in france , the oldest is 21 ,and we live in a very old farmhouse , its kind , of like the Waltons , people tell me I lack ambition but its what I love and could have done a lot more and have turned my back on countless oppertuinities , just to live this life style but , Im very , very happy, cheers for a great upload , which we enjoyed very much , ritchie.

There are many D Day sites all along the coast road, which reminds us of the horrors of war. It brings it home just what those men/boys went through. If they could see the world today !!! If I understand the layout of trees and bushes, the open spaces are for homes to be built on. That is a neat idea. Greenery before building. The USA had a law passed to replant what you take down. Bonjour Françoise. Nous ne viendrons pas en Normandie cette année. Nous serons probablement prisonniers dans nos propres maisons. Il faudra beaucoup de temps avant que le monde ne redevienne normal. Si jamais!
