It wasn't my first VR Game, but it is what got me addicted and convinced me to upgrade my PC :)

Surprised more gun enthusiasts haven't gotten into this. It lets you experience such a lovely variety of guns you'll probably never get your mits on. The game modes and everything is so clean and fun to play with. Anton is doing great work, and needs more attention. Same for the people who model the firearms.

Ima Popo as someone who doesn’t have a large amount of space I can say that you can usually find/make more if you are smart about where your things are arranged.

I feel like you should do a Ricky Random run where you only get one gun and do nothing but roll attachments. And once you roll an attachment, it has to go on your gun.

I love H3VR and it is underrepresented, I think it’s good that they’re no human targets, I’m not against violent game or anything but I don’t think it’s necessary, and it actually makes the game easier in sense that you can just enjoy it without having to think to much about it, and it feels like a fun game

Absolutely agreed - H3VR's focus is on the guns and their mechanics, not the act of killing. Goofy sausage meeples are definitely what's best for the game.

I have had a rough time with the one hit runs after this week's updates. There are so many more sosigs now, I have to get more acclimated to the new difficulty before I can run one hit again!

@@jeditobiwan One Hit with so many Sosig operatives must be hell on the nerves. It's all a big game of caution and taking safer gambles. The upside of the mode is how much the Sosig AI shines. Tactics are worth their weight in gold when you can't run in facetanking damage.

I feel like I need to go take a look at all the different voicefiles for the sosigs somewhere or something, I keep hearing them say the stupidist things in these videos and they just crack me up. From taking cracks at Anton's level design to quoting memes to just general 4th wall breaking jokes its just great.

They are all so good. And sometimes their delivery timing is impeccable!

One of the many things I love about the Index is that the lenses never seem to fog up. This is probably because it runs quite warm, but still it's nice in games that require lots of activity like Beat Saber.

Can't wait to get this game. So hyped.

I pull these from twitch. You can tell it to record to HDD as well, but I run in to performance issues when I do that. I may try it again though, as I don't like the compression that shows up on the twitch stream.

@@jeditobiwan I don't know if this is the setup you use, but if you really do want to save a copy to the hard drive and streaming at the same time, you should really consider getting a PC that's sole purpose is to save and stream it. so your main PC is running just the VR and then the second PC is just handling the streaming/saving.

God i didnt know you streamed ill tell my mates theyre big fans as well and we were talking the other day and someone said it would be better if you streamed so you might have a little boost to viewers on streams

Starting with Take and Hold will result in motion sickness if you suffer from it and it will turn you off VR, damn you nausea!

Already have a PC that just slides into the recommended specs for this game, now I'm waiting on my tax return so I can get the headset

Thinking of pistol variety, rolling the break barrel revolver in Calico is basically a guaranteed good run since you can reload so much faster.

If you can, you should see about finding a way to attach a 1-2 lb counter weight on the back of your headset. I did that and I noticed a distinct difference in how long I was able to play before I started getting a headache/neck-ache. Easily like an extra 2-3 hours.

I think my headaches come from eye strain since I don't wear my glasses in VR. Either that or pure exhaustion because I am way out of shape lolol

@@jeditobiwan I usually wear glasses, but not in vr too, but to be fair I don't have very strong lenses so there's not a ton of difference in terms of eye strain, but I'm telling you, you should try a counterweight either way. Even if the issue really is eyestrain, it'll at least be better on your neck I would hope.

I usually do "ladder pops" where I pull myself up so fast that it carries me higher when i let go, then repeat.

Sadly you cannot. No mag locking due to the way things are coded.

If you aren't familiar with whatever gun you rolled, take a minute and reload it a few times. It'll be fresh in your head and you'll get that reload off a bit quicker than usual. Don't forget to check that your safety is off and that you chambered a round! When that stressful moment hits, you will be much more prepared. For the angles, just concentrate on getting your head behind cover, and peek slowly. If you know that a sosig saw you, fall back behind the cover until they are done firing. If you mean angles when breaching a room, best advise is to just practice that with whatever your preferred locomotion method is. Took me a long time to figure out the best way to do it with armswinger. Hope that all helps you!

USP Match. Similar, but the one in Half-Life 2 was in 9×19mm Parabellum rather than .45 ACP, the round that the USP Match in H3VR is chambered for.

I would stream H3VR but my vive is completely borked and I can't afford to get it replaced or fixed.

All depends on the character that you are playing. The majority of them start off with a pistol and you work your way up from there. Ricky Random gives you any gun in the game every time you roll.

This particular game also feels built from the ground up around vive wands, very clearly being Anton's controller of choice even over the index controllers. Compare this to something like boneworks where the game was very clearly intended to feel better on index. I'm curious @jeditobiwan how long did it take you to feel comfortable with the index controllers in h3vr? I bought a pair and have tried to use them in take and hold, but I keep going back to my vive wands.

He would probably take one look at the FAL Tactical, put a suppresor and maybe a handle on it and call it a day.

A couple of reasons. The main reason is I enjoy throwing my guns around, and if I have them "slung" like that, they just go right back to the slot as soon as I let go no matter what. The other reason is I feel like it adds another sense of management in tense situations. The more that can go wrong during a run means the more "emergent gameplay" i can create for myself! (and hopefully better content too!)
