I appreciate how his shelf portrait represents an extension of books that aren't literary works or other similar works, typical of what you may expect. It shows how books are useful for other forms of art as well, how his favorites still hold the weight of deep thought and enable him to get those bits of inspiration.

He is an interior design, of course he is going to have art books to reference and pull from because they are his research material. They may be coffee table books to you but if you watch the video he explains the meaning they have to him and the role they play within his life and career. He also talks about non-art books (the alchemist) and the role they have played within his life. I think it is great that they are showing different “styles” and personalities, he clearly is connected and influenced by the books he is showing which is the point of the series.
