Just had a radar run last weekend. Some guy showed up on some hypo high boost Yamaha...166 on radar. 2000’ run, but...166 jeezus. He started off nice and easy, heard the turbo spool...and gone like he was shot from a slingshot. Crazy how fast these things go!

I ride a sport bike capable 0 to 60 in 3 sec and a 10 second 1/4 mile at about 136 mph (I say the bike is capable, not me). That much pull is just beyond the ability of most people to grasp, it is harder than a passenger jet pulls, it still feels unreal each time I hit it. But what these snow mobiles do is beyond my grasp. Even some stock sleds eclipse my bike, though I have never driven one. I got it all over them on fuel mileage though!

If I ever get the chance I would love to take a modern sled for a little run, you don't have to sample everything a machine has to offer to appreciate how much you are leaving on the table. I have owned my ZX9R (2003 last model) for nearly 10 years now and last month I let the first other person ride it making him only the 3rd on this bike since new, he had recently graduated from a 250cc Rebel to an 1100cc cruiser and was quite thrilled.

4.56 in the 1/8th translates to a low 7 second quarter mile pass, that is not that hard to believe given the incredible power the weight ratio, wicked traction, and low drag. As a regular at the drag strip for decades watching cars perform at these kinds of acceleration levels it is no surprise to me. I have watched and taken money from guys who have had the same kind of attitude about cars going faster than sport bikes on the street, I love when I hear "it's just not possible bro what are you retarded?" You can't fix stupid, But you can take their money! :D

You need to see one of these turbo monsters go down the track in person. Once you watch these at haydays or any other race they make all other machines appear to be standing still. Watch these then the 800 class and the 800's will look like they are in slow motion. It's like they are shot out of a cannon.

Video real or not, I rode a highly modified sled with nitrous and a turbo in Michigan. It belonged to a friend that raced. I took it for a spin, stood it up on end at 60 mph and it was the most terrifying thing I've ridden. I hit 130 and was scared to death. 5 minutes later I came back with snot sickles all over my face. It looked every bit as fast as this.

I've seen alot of races in my days, including funny cars in drag races. Honestly, all those races, especially supercross excites me. This thing here? this scared the shit of me. Can't believe you were able to hold on to handlebars. Im barely able to hold on my Yz250f when im learning how to pop wheelies, i get nothing but fat blizzers on my palms. im amazed how awesome these snowmobiles are. I gotta ask though, how come you weren't able to turn it? why did you need to get off and spin it around???

rywolf01 what if you have a program loaded to the ecm or whatever and you put it on "race mode" and the servos/hydro steer.. or bump stop.. idk how the snowmobile operates but if its like a dirtbike then bump stop would be best. Basically what im saying is, these bump stops going towards to your forks can be powered by servos or RC- Electic motors. That motor be powered by an emc which could go straight to the ecm or whatever computer you got and load the program. Get where im going with this? then you switch to cruise mode and the bump stops will retract to G28 home and you have full access to your steering. what you think?
