At the end of the day, it still looks like something most of us could afford to build over time. Nicely done.

If you can’t afford a cheap 25K car. You probably should not be putting money 💰 into a vehicle!!!
One of the coolest guys on Street Outlaws. He’s absolutely correct 20-25k and do as much labor as you can. Labor is a killer.
@ddurfee10
2 жыл бұрын
Honest question - He's probably got a 10k crate engine, a 5-6k transmission, supercharger 3-4k...Plus who knows how much for the internals they put in the engine, the rear end. Is it really going to be built for 25k? Even if he did all the labor himself. Not knocking him at all, just genuinely curious if this is a 25k build vs maybe a 40k build, which seems more likely.

25k and a whack of free parts maybe🤣
@rosscairney5375

@@ddurfee10 $10k crate engine?… not with forged internals. Wheels and tires alone are $5k. It sounds like he has gotten free stuff for so long that he doesn’t remember what a dollar buys. Fuel system and lines alone in any normal street car - pump, lines, fittings, tank… at least $2000. So if fuel system is 2000, wheels and tires are $4500, hood was $600, let’s say paint was $2000, CR roll age kits are $1000….. it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to add things up. $25000 won’t cut it

What you guys are not figuring is that some parts we bought used. Blower, trans was used and we had it freshened. Motor was all ready built with passes on it. Bought the seats on Amazon. Tires and wheels where new, brakes system was new paid for them not free. Did we do some bartering, absolutely. The idea was to build a car that was affordable not 100-150k. We have even talked about doing a budget build and video the whole build to show it can be done.
Love that you DIDNT spend 2 mortgages worth of money on it. This IS a back to basics worthy build . Much respect Monza
The most expensive part about building a car is the stuff you can’t do yourself. Someone that can build drivetrains, fab suspension parts/linkages/cages, and do bodywork/paint can build a car a lot cheaper than someone that can’t. The more work ya do, the cheaper it is. Moral of the story… If ya want something built for less money, do it yourself. Don’t know how? Learn. Don’t wanna learn? Then pay someone else and keep complaining about the price.

Yep, I've had people moaning about my circuit race car saying it's a £40,000 car. Yes it would be if I paid people but I do everything myself (self taught from knowing next to nothing) apart from the roll cage (which I can do I just hate it) so it's a £10,000 car to me. Those that can do, those that can't get the chequebook out.
@charlesdixon552

That's bad advice! It's better to pay someone who knows what they're doing and get the job right! You can end spending hundreds or thousands or more tinkering with stuff you have no clue about and messing things up! Do better brah! Give better advice.
@adematthewsracing
2 жыл бұрын
@@charlesdixon552 Like he said if you don't know how then learn if you don't want to learn then accept it's going to cost more and don't complain. He never said do it yourself with no clue about what you're doing. The guys who know what they're doing weren't born with that knowledge.
@stlchucko

@@charlesdixon552 I didn't tell people to instantly jump in and try doing "extreme" builds; like rebuilding a trans or engine. If someone wants to learn how to do something, they should start small and build up.... and that requires practice. Knowledge without mileage is nothing. For instance, if someone wants to learn to paint, I suggest practicing on mailboxes. It's cheap, small, and the same principles and techniques apply to cars. You know what's bad advice? Suggesting that people just pay someone to do something instead of trying to learn to do things themselves.
We like "bolt-onz" in a lot of places! Great job Man-za!!!

Glad you made this video man. People will complain about anything because they're watching someone doing something they could only wish they'd be able to do.
Thank you for putting the budget into perspective. Gives guys like me hope. Appreciate you
Was Flip the inspiration for that, because his car was the king of low budget G body sweetness. I grew up low budget racing, and I’m really looking forward to seeing you rip this thing.

I favorite part of what you do is your spending time with family Jerry, both cars look good
I felt that comment. "Was all meant to be, everything fell right in place "......When it's right it's right.
Monza you are a legend in the UK. You are a top bloke with a great attitude. Have fun take my man
I'm glad to see you guys having fun and love the new street car! Keep up the awesome content and thanks for it! :D
“Wide shoulders and I will bark back.” Lol. Love it
Monza you have been the same solid dude from day one wish you the best
Always loved monza dudes been 100% real n no bullshit since day one!!!
350 with double humps! Love the channel Jerry you keep up the hard work!
The color and the wheels look so good
Hey guys love the car love the concept can't wait to see it making hits as always keep up the awesome work guys let's go 💪 💯
Monza dont worry about what the haters say. Anybody that knows hot rods knows what it cost to build this car. Its exactly what you say it is and you guys did a nice job on it. Its different and thats why i like it. Like you said before it may not be the fastest out there but its what you were supposed to build and you built what a normal guy could build in his garage. Cant wait to see this season of the show. I think this will be the most fun you guys have had in years going back to the old days before you all had 100,000 dollar plus cars . Good luck guys.
Great looking rid Great looking ride really enjoy seeing the video can’t wait to see it run
The Grand prix came out badass! Great work Monza & Brandon
Ok can't wait to hear it run
Looks good. I am glad to see you guys going to do actual drivers this should be a great time for all
Badass car. I can't wait to see the new show with these cars. Much respect ✌🏻
Been waiting on the details thanks for sharing
very sharp car, and looks done right, awesome job monza
Nice ride; I cannot wait to see what it can lay down. I'm old and do not race anymore, but I remember the days when our Olds 442 would be a handful of fun on a Friday night.
Loven the frequent updates Monza keep em coming dude 👍 Your car is lookin Bad Azz
Sick ride!!! I agree,,25k tops!!! Can't wait to see you guys in action!!!
The GP is gorgeous! The haters are just jealous & the majority don't have a clue as to how much building a car actually cost. They think since they've watched every episode SO that they're expert racers now. When in reality they probably have never even changed the oil in their own vehicles. Thanks again for the hard work & bringing us along for the ride!
My son and I rebuilt my car about 10 years ago it's a 2003 mustang gt . It was road really hard but we knew what we were getting into . So all the garage time that we spent was the best . We didn't agree on everything but we did it together . You 2 don't always agree either but have the same goals . Love the new car hope it runs as good as it looks .
I'm glad that you have your KZread channel. Love the Camaro. I just wanted to share with you that when I am watching your videos, for some reason it sounds low, the volume. I watch the 405 KZread channel and it comes in clear. Can't wait for the next video.
Absolutely love those G Body's. Nicely done Monza. Looks great
Back where you started and it’s more fun !
Good job Monza ! That’s absolutely a good looking car ! And I’m thinking that you’re going about it the right way , rather than spending big money on your dream car ! I’d be pretty happy having a vehicle like that to ride around in !!! Keep up the great work !!! One of your Canadian fans.
Thank you for showing us that it can be done
you the real og keep on keepin on
That car reminds me of when I was 20 years old back in '88 I used to have one of those you got it pretty much set up just like I did step right and didn't have the LS just had a 350 in it some of the best times in my life
looks amazing guys
Thats awesome, love it!!!
Very nicely done. Like the color. Good luck, have fun & be safe
Thank you for the rundown ! Subscribed
Hope you guys are doing great !! Love you guys
Like the car keep up the good work and like the videos can’t wait to see on the show soon
Really nice build, good luck gentleman
I think that color is very unique definitely an eye catching color. If it is anything like the split bumper it will be fast.
That car is absolutely doable for 20-25 grand , IF you exercise some patience and go shopping for deals, instead of having to have it all right now . horse trading your parts or labor for someone else's parts that you need beats calling that 1-800 bend over store and giving them your credit card number . Most trade schools offer night classes for adults , learn body and paint work , if it looks bad sand it off and try again , learn to weld or how to machine , any parts you can make are fewer parts that have to be bought .In case anybody doubts me , I've been turning wrenches since 1965 , which is probably before Monza's time .
Love the car! Thankyou for another great video.
Love the Grand Prix man, I drove an 82’ in HS almost the same color blue .
Monza my friend your a good hard working man and I love to see the look on peoples faces when they see the things you and your son have lol over the years doing trading and such I have gotten a lot of hard to come by items when ever I traded it was known that I had to get boot didn't matter if it was a pack of smokes old wrench what over I kept trading up and before long I was able to get something that I really wanted people think guys like us are moneyed up lol the jokes on them hang in there you guys are my pick Semper Fi
Very cool looking car y'all have built I wish you luck this season
That is a real street car & it looks great!!! Well done.
This car is gonna be a contender for #1 love the color team monza coming for the 👑
Honest good guy keep up the good work
Thanks for keeping it real Monza 💪💪💪
Cool car thanks for the walk around
The car is awesome! And nowhere near a hundred grand. Keep up the video. Best of luck to you and Brandon this season on the street and the track 👊
I always pull for yall.I can't wait to see this Lil hotrod in action.
Monza is one cool cat ....my favorite guy on the show and all his rides are very badass ....he is meticulous about them and it shows !!!
Good to see Renegade fuels banner on the wall. They sell some of the best fuel out there.
Way to go Monza!
You seem to be the most normal straight up man out of any ,respect
You and your son are a great team let the hater's hate 👍 I think you are one of the coolest 😎 OG Street Outlaws period 👍
So real just a down to earth real car guy!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Very nice car sir!! And thank you for being so honest!!!!! You are the man!!!
Cool car thanks for showing it off!!👍
I like how down to earth Monza is. He built a fast car for not a lot of money. That’s a recipe everyone likes. Can’t wait to see you guys hurt some feelings out there. Go get them
Monza the g body looks sick , you and your boy do all your own work n tuning . AMAZING Keep it going
You guys did a bad ass job on that car don’t let nobody Hate on you I’ve been on your side since I’ve seen you on street outlaws love the underdog guy
Love the g body gps bad ass to see u guys using one as ur race car can't wait to see the show
My God, I love this car. Sweet to see something besides a Monte Carlo or Cutlass. They're a dime a dozen. The Grand Prix looks better than any of the other G bodies of this era. Fantastic job Jerry.👏👏👏👍👍
That's a nice ride too. Perfect g body hot rod.
Love that it has ac that’s awesome 👏
good luck on the new show fellas, always pulling for you guys. Just straight forward straight up guys. line them up and go on the light, first one there wins ;P you guys are legit, and that set up is perfect for street racing 12 to 1500 hp is all u need to get er done P.S. I have watched your boy become one HELL of a tuner over the last several seasons. he could tune my hotrod any time. hell of a job guys.

Great info. Love the car!
It is,amazing what you can do with the stuff that's just "around" these days. Gm has alot a really good affordable stuff. I like the gen 3 hemis but they can't compare to gm LS power.
Well said... im a gbody owner and being able to to most of the work myself, I've saved thousands... keep up the great work and let the haters hate
Original OG racer.I'm waiting to see you Drag some Asses ! 💯💪👍

Monza is one guy money can't change! I seen him at Pacemakers track in Ohio years ago and he seemed just as down to earth as your neighbor! Good luck this season with the street car! I have owned many G body's and there great cars! Im sure that one will move! Later Guy's 👍
I love the Amazon seats brother!!!!
Car is simply beautiful I always loved the Grand Prix body Style
I Love that car. I had one just like it but it was silver. I traded it for a 01 Grand Prix and regretted the first week I had it. I have a 89 Iroc Z that I bought brand new with 79k miles. Also have a 04 Intimidator SS that I bought new.
