Take 2 No Doubt Interview 1992
The audio is off. This was on a 3/4 broadcast umatic tape. Quality not so great.
The show "Take 2" was on the air from 1989 - 1995 on Access Sacramento. This was No Doubts first interview after signing on with their record label .

100%. I tell my little girl, (now 13), about the early 90’s in Northern England, about rave culture and all the free parties, the readily available work, decent wages, low food prices, low gas prices, low housing prices, no mobile phones or social media. So many don’t realize some of the trends Gwen set back then. Her fashion was always cutting edge. The music video for Don’t Speak was so damn good. Especially the slow mo concert clips. And she and Tony managed to work through their break-up for her to go on and marry Gavin and become the sensation she was. 90s Gwen with the crop top and baggy pants and rhinestones glued on her face was really nothing people had done. Or at least nothing mainstream. Loved them back then. So much nostalgia.

I had the honour of seeing No Doubt play live in 2002 at Festival Hall in Melbourne, Australia. To this day, it is still HANDS DOWN the best show that I have ever been to. I will never forget how hard they worked to put on the most amazing show. They were so professional and humble and the band was so tight. To be fair, it is probably hard to interview 11 people simultaneously.

I love these older videos if you even want to call them that old. It takes you back to that Nostalgia that you had growing up and as a millennial I can say that. BEFORE the internet, social media and cell phones. You used to have to WAIT to watch your favorite music video or show on the television, GOOD TIMES!!😀😀😁😁
Wow... 92 whatta year to come into existence .
This is beautiful ❤
2020 pandemic year!! No doubt I'm watching this video😂😂😂🔥

Girls that look like Gwen are a dime a dozen in OC but she is the sweetest person. Thats what made her stand out. All these bands came to the rehearsal space and most of the guys and ALL the girls were total dicks. But Gwen helped us and other bands load in a few times. Talked to us on load outs. Toni and Adrian too. Genuinely nice people which was rare . SO many dickheads and these guys were just cool They deserved MUCH more than they got and they got a lot. I have to admit I kinda grew a big one for Gwen but i didnt want to mix it up with Tony. After my band left OC I mean RIGHT AFTER i hear they broke up and i was like FUCK! hahaha but there were other dudes and Gavin. IMO that was a total industry created thing. She was too down to earth for that guy. Tony was a grounded dude and thats why i felt ok letting my shit hang low for Gwen. I thought shes real and was always nice to all of us. And not in a slutty way (but she was a handful dont get me wrong) I thought if i had the chance to get closer to her why not. But I never got the chance. Great band and all cool people that deserved the success they got cuz they worked way harder through some hard times than a lot of bands with daddys money did.

Tony seems like a dick, at least here.
KWOD 106.5 was in Sacramento and I use to go to the Classic Jukebox literally like once a week, place not even there anymore! Good Times
Back when they were just a local band. I grew up in the 714 area too, a suburb of L.A. next to Anaheim called La Mirada, and I had older friends who used to go No Doubt shows when they’d play at swap meets and local gigs. Ugh my teen years in the 90’s, miss ‘em. I was 11 in 92 though, this was before they hit it big around 95-96.
