    I watched your chats with Defcamp & Melderon, and I'm subscribing to your channel because I support how you want to help in creating a healthy Classic community. I am leveling a warrior (among a gazillion other toons as usual) on a "naughty" server and I'm finding it surprisingly fun! I'd hated its gameplay when I played WoW back in TBC but I'm appreciating it a lot more now, how every auto attack and every bit of damage taken is impactful and important. I'm taking it slow, leveling blacksmithing along with it (more as a personal RP thing than anything) and just trying to "live" as the character. Thanks for your great content! Greetings from Greece!

    Exactly. So many streamers or online guides suggest to bring a seperate spirit set. However, it takes up way too much bagspace (which is scarce on a fresh server!). It feels like some people just try too hard to find some supposedly unconventional lifesavers or advice.

    The hit/crit section IMO can be boiled down to you want rage to dump. You inevitably get rage starved at some points and that costs damage. The most damage warriors do is at the end of a fight and more rage is EVERYTHING.

  • @davidaplin2732
    @davidaplin27325 жыл бұрын

    A slight clarification, 9% Soft hit cap (Specials) 27 Hard hit cap (auto attacks). + hit over 9% increases your numbers auto attack hits and your max crit cap.. You will not hit CRIT cap when using a 2hander (single weapon)...as you are not subtracting the -27 hit for duel wielding only -9%.

    Fernando Rivas I will he leveling a warrior to 60 as my main for classic. I don’t remember it being that bad, but my other characters leveling experiences weren’t optimized so much as I leveled a warrior third. I do remember my feral Druid feeling significantly faster than my first toon, shaman. But I don’t remember feeling like warrior took much longer than the Druid

  • @MrRazmut

    @MrRazmut

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@Purriah Warrs aren´t that bad if you play em right. Using hamstring method and then killing 2 mobs at once with sweeping strikes and cleave when you get it, and of course leveling first aid(duh) will make it pretty fast. It´s only super slow if you kill one mob at a time standing still and then eat after every kill so you don´t have to take chances xD Druids are just awesome at leveling once you get some spells, they have like no downtime. Kill something-pop heals-back into bear/catform, regen all/most of your mana while fighting, rinse and repeat. I think druids are the 2nd or 3rd fastest, hunters are the best I´m sure, but I don´t know if locks are faster than druids. People say warrs have no survivability, but in my experience the fear shout, hamstring, shieldwall, and retaliation will get you out of a lot of situations. Only bad thing about warrs is IMO, is that you´re really vulnerable to ganks when you´re fighting mobs. Hard to win as a warrior if you´re fighting something and an enemy player opens up on you suddenly.

    I think having 30 min of the same slide makes for a pretty weak video. I wanted to give my feedback, but I really enjoy your content! I will continue to be subscribed and like your vids, but this one bored me : / Not to be too critical, but the warrior course you outlined in the first video of the series seemed very ambitious. I don't think restructuring these videos would get you any hate if you think following through with such a big task (in the same way outlined in the first video) wouldn't be in your channel's best interest.

  • @therealloose

    @therealloose

    I mean something like popup images of what is being talking about at any given time would go a long way to make the video more visually stimulating. Like maybe not for every single topic, but things like the stance dancing, crowd control, hit-rating explanation, etc., would benefit from some visual examples. I could Edit YO SHIT BRUH. If you were into that sort of thing. #shameless

  • @Kyrrua_

    Its not about restructuring the vids. He could just keep the same agenda while doing it alone to get straight to the point. Every part could be a 10min video without Taka.

  • @A3racada3ra

    @A3racada3ra

    2 жыл бұрын

    Of course one has to acknowledge the effort which goes into producing videos like. But yeah I agree, it feels like there is a lot of talking around the point without actually getting to the point. No one (hopefully?!) has the time to watch 20 Videos (of 30-40 mins length) just to get into the very basics of a class. It would have been better if the sections were structured in max. 5-10 min segments and maybe add some example material (like a pvp situation or a raid encounter) to explain some mechanics. Also, if you want to keep long videos, you should add timestamps so people can quickly find the sections they are interested in the most. Also think about inviting players who are a bit more enganging as an interview partner. Takanashi seems like a chill dude, but his way of explaining things didn't help to keep me interested.

    You know, I loved Vanilla WoW, and I am absolutely planning on playing Classic when it comes out. So don't take what I'm saying to mean that Vanilla is the inferior game to Retail WoW. It isn't strictly, both have their ups and downs. But whenever I hear a Vanilla Veteran player talk shit about removed game mechanics, it grinds my gears a little. Around the 20:00 mark, Takanashi says that "removing Stances makes him want to cry", as if the class is now stupidly easy to play because Stances are no longer a thing. Yes, Stances were a very interesting game mechanic, and if Warrior played exactly the same as in Vanilla, only without Stances and you were able to use any ability without any issues, that would absolutely suck. But it's disingenuous to frame it that way. The abilities and rotations are MUCH more complex than they were in Vanilla across all classes. People complained in BfA about the complexity decreasing since Legion in most classes, yet even now, the rotations are much more fast paced and complex than any Vanilla class was. Honestly, my perfect WoW would probably be one that featured retails mechanics and boss tactics with Classic's leveling experience and talent tree complexity, and maybe a middle ground in terms of consumables (nowadays, consumables are ridiculously easy to obtain, but seeing the "required" list of consumables for Vanilla Naxx straight up gives me anxiety).

    Good thing he did not mention Night elf for warrior tank. Last time I mentioned that on some other content wow classic creator I got quite some heat. That nelfs extra dodge isn't doing Jack since in vanilla (Classic soon) being a tank, everything was about the threat, and dodge did not help with it, but human extra weapon skills do and so on. All in all good footage even tho it was a little dragged out. So to save you some pain, when someone asks you as main tank goes, simply say Human, even if you don't agree. If you are min/max or not won't matter to those people. One example of the heat I got: "Avoidance is terrible for top tier tanks. Destroys your rage generation. Tanks get to a point that they begin removing pieces with avoidance because threat is FAR more of an issue. This was widely known EVEN during retail vanilla and was the main reason that druids were unable to main tank during BC, their avoidance was simply too high due to their gear sets."

  • @Dasaldir

    @Dasaldir

    I maintanked some bosses in BC and threat was never an issue when being high in dodge %. Druids had a talent that that gains rage whenever they dodge. I was a healers dream with high avoidance.
