I think I’ll have to check your channel regularly as I’m not getting notifications on all you uploads. That’s a lovely dulcet toned acoustic Jon. It would definitely suit my tiny hands 😂😂

I’ve owned a white special edition Takamine for 29 years. It’s the best guitar ever ... the ST 26.

It's been 2 yrs now - and I still love it, as It was a gift from my wife. Quality built? I'd say yes, Jon showed/proved that already. I've played a few high-end guitars costing double what this one will set you back and we have a clear winner, but I play for a hobby, not a living. Now I won't recommend this guitar anymore. I do feel a little burned to find out it is not an all-solid wood guitar, which at one time I thought it was. Shame on you Takamine for not posting "laminate" on you're website's specs. That is misleading to people (my trust is broken) and that in the end, it's bad for business. Thanks for making me look like a dick.....by the way. Let me say - It won't happen again, I'm done with Takamine now, and I will tell everyone. I don't think the music shop told her either. They cheated her too, I was happy she made the effort and she was happy to see me happy, but hindsight is 20/20 as they say. When she asks me, what I want for Christmas or my birthday, I'll ask for another nice watch. I will choose the guitar myself from now on.

Hi Jon. I truly love the sound of this guitar indeed, and also the way you play is truly outstanding; thanks for sharing your talent with us, your subscribers. I would very much like to ask the question that so many people are asking about this guitar but I have yet to hear a honest "solid" answer. So here goes Jon: Is the "Figured" KOA top, back and sides "Solid" KOA wood or is it Laminated KOA wood? When this question is asked, the most popular way it's actually been answered is that it doesn't mean "Solid" wood or Laminated wood at all. It is simply referring to the gorgeous grain of the KOA wood on this guitar. But no one that I'm aware of has even come close to actually answering such a simple question. Is the Takamine EF508KC in fact "Solid" KOA wood or is it Laminated KOA wood. It could be Jon that you may have yourself experienced a dodge to this question and you too were not properly answered?? Thanks for considering my question Jon and please, don't stop making videos because they have all been very entertaining, instructional and above all, valuable. Best regards, Jeff. 🤗

Beautiful guitar, balanced sound. Your right, good electronics, but old school. I have one and it goes through batteries a bit faster than I like, but works ok. Cool tube on that guitar would be incredible!

I have mine pure KOA, the sound is solid but less bass when not using the the built in pickup ( as I understand bec it's a solid wood), as I compared vs. my Martin, I still keep it as it is a beautiful guitar to play with...

Hi Jonathan, your work is excellent. I'm in doubt between this Takamine Koa and a Taylor 210.

I have one. It is beautiful and sound really nice. I like it except that the Bass response of the Pre-amp. It is too much and I have to cut it all of the way back and boost the mids. I also experience feed back from other instruments that have caused me to unplug. I'm not sure of the dynamics of that feed back, but my other Guitars played in the same group do not have the same problem.

Aside from the laurel vs rosewood fretboard, what other differences are there between this model and the Takamine GN77KCE NEXC? Love love love this guitar but trying to decide if it warrants the $850 price difference. Someone tell me it’s worth it!!

hi jonathan, i want to purchase this model... perhaps you can elaborate on the sound without amplification... im looking for a good sounding "in the room" model and was told Koa wood has a unique sound and gradually "opens up over time" which i am not sure how that works... i like a full bass string (e, a, and d) resonance and my concern in from listening to you play, that this guitar has a more tinny sound like some other takamine models... does this "koa wood" guitar give you any indication it is extra exceptional for just acoustic, no plug in play...? or is the wood not that big a factor... the best "in the room" guitar i have played was a Santa Cruz... but i am very loyal to takamine... please help to elaborate the resonance for this model, particularly the bass strings... mahalo
