What are the adapters on top of the unit to connect to pvc pipe? I assumed it would come with them but apparently not.

So if we disconnect the power and finish descaling and plug the power back on, my main concern is how will the burner turn back on is it automatic or do you have to light it like the old school water tank heater? Thanks in advance
