തിരുവാതിരക്കളി മോഹിനിയാട്ടം പോലെ കളിക്കരുത്. പണ്ട് ആശാട്ടിമാർ തലയിൽ എണ്ണപ്പാത്രംവെച്ചുകൊടുത്ത് തിരുവാതിര കളിപ്പിക്കാറുണ്ട്. തിരുവാതിരഡാൻസ് എന്നാണ് ഇതിനു പേർ

ചില സ്ത്രീകൾ തിരുവാതിരക്കളിയെ തരം താഴ്ത്തി കൈകൊട്ടി കളിയാക്കി. അതിനാൽ തിരുവാതിരയുടെ റോയൽ സ്റ്റാറ്റസ് പോയി കിട്ടി.
