Tajikistan: Reaching Distant Pastures
United Nations, New York - In the mountains of Tajikistan, herders are struggling to protect the land on which they depend for their livelihoods from overgrazing. With the help of a sustainable land management project supported by the United Nations and the Global Environment Facility, stables and a road to newer pastures have been constructed allowing villagers in the town of Jirgatol to safeguard their fragile environment.

absolutely beautiful more people should spend time conserving nature,and others should be aware of what they are doing may affect others. I like the fact that they are very in touch with their culture and a legacy is important. More countries should conserve tradition
