Recently, The government of Uttar Pradesh is planning to build a new city near Agra.
According to a report the city will come up around 190 kms from Noida and it will be about 150 kms from the Noida airport.
The city will cover an area of 10,500 hectares, which is approximately half the size of Noida.
To ensure a well-planned development, the Yamuna Expressway Authority (YXPA) has been invited as consultants.
They will create a 10 year master plan such as transportation links with other cities, environmental impact assessment, and strategies for sustainable growth.
The team also said given the significance of the Taj Mahal, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the environmental impact of the new city is of utmost importance.
Shailendra Bhatia, an officer on special duty at YXPA, said that only green industries will be promoted in order to regulate pollution risks.
Sustaining the pristine beauty of the monument is crucial, and therefore, no polluting activities will be permitted.
But yesterday the Supreme court ordered the UP government to submit a 10 years visionary plan to protect the Taj Mahal should be submitted within two months.
Why did SC order this to the UP government?
Because Delhi is completely polluted and now Agra is also becoming the same.
Also in 2017, the UP government considered the Taj mahal as a least tourist place.
Not given proper attention to protect this place.
Therefore SC ordered the UP government to have a special plan to protect Taj Mahal.
Taj Mahal is the pride of India.
This is not particularly for one religion. Yes, it was builded by muslim king.
But the structure, plan and architecture was celebrated by everyone.
Let's wait for 2 months to see how the UP government submits a plan to protect Taj Mahal.
